Rubbish. This union starved a million people to death in Ireland and forced another million to flee to the new world. 1847. The Highland clearances were not particularly merry. 1750 to 1860. And you might want to read about the treatment of the welsh princes. Forgive me if i dont quite see your union through the eyes of the BBC like you do. The welsh have paid a heavy price for coal as well. We need to make the UK fit for the modern world or its dead. I actually want a strong independent England working with the other nations. You kniw a bit like the EU model. You kerp being a happy clapper, theres lovely for you 🇬🇧 |

The Lion of Vienna, what a nickname. I still prefer the Golden Boy of Welsh football, and our very own Gentle Giant. Goiko the Spanish centre-back known for his aggressive play, and was nicknamed "The Butcher of Bilbao’. Was ‘Magic Daps’ one of the last ? I liked the ‘Crynant Cafu’ for Roberts. Give us a couple more OHL, right up your street this !! |

Are you talking about Wales and Scotland in the failed UK model ? The UK only voted out because people were misled and lied to by the usual suspects like Farage. Scotland, London and the north of Ireland knew better. Reality is very different the EU works as you can trade across borders seamlessly so the benefits of market choice are realised. And EU regional aid is targetted on needy areas so that they can grow into future markets. Its almost like countirs working together can deliver better outcomes than the can on their own. Think trade deals. Size matters. Johnson has said he had no plan to deliver what he promised, he said he just set out to win an arguement. You cant get more idiotic than that. Conman pure and simple. |

Let me say this slowly so you understand ……if 2 possesion teams play each other then (guess what ?) usually the one who plays in best wins. See Citeh vs Arsenal last season. I am not sure why you dont know this. My examples are fact, you are trying to use your view of Swans to win the bigger arguement. Its like a drunk bloke saying that because he has an ugly wife then there can be no beautiful women in the world. Nonsense on stilts. Martin achieved what we want from Swans so its directly relevent. What happened after getting to the Prem is a different problem that required a different solution. Shrewd investment. Only you are suggesting Martinball is the only flavour of possession football. You are arguing with yourself. Its self evident that Brendan, Roberto and Michael all produced more exciting possession based football. They educated us. I do think you would enjoy it more at Legoland. Hoof !! |

Could easily be 3 heavy defeats, disappointing draw. Come on Cymru |

You can win at hoof ball one week - correct. But as you have little control …. then u can lose the next week. The beauty of possession based football is that you can get to win each week, Barca, Spain, Arsenal, Citeh. Primarily cos the other team dont have the ball. Good points on this thread about exciting wingers, and not doing dull stuff in our defensive third. O agree. But its the way to win games week in week out, boring or not. |

'A football club will be formed for the maintenance of dinner tables for the children and unemployed.’ Sounds a rather noble aim to me ☘️ Well done Brendan YJB ! |

Its a different level mun. Clearly you need to strengthen with better players. Factually Russ got Soton promoted by playing possession based football. And thats what Swans are trying to do. Didn’t we try more direct football under Duff. How did that go ? I hope you enjoyed that, i didn’t. Nobody says Roberto, Brendan, and Michael Laudrup did not serve up exciting possession based football, of course they did. Of course they were more careful in our own third. But the Swansea Way is possession based football. QPR would often give us the ‘boring, boring Swansea treatment’ in West London. I think you would be better iff watching hoof ball in Legoland, plenty of tickets available. Hoof !! |

I was saying this yesterday, how great were Dyer and Routs at giving the team pace, go forward, and excitement. All within a famous possession based system, it does not have to be boring. |

He got Southampton promoted to the Premier League in one season using possession based football. And thats what Swans are trying to do. You seem to be advocating against something that has already proven successful for our club. You might enjoy watching Cardiff City more ….. |
