| News Comment | Remembering QPR’s Terry Venables – Preview at 14:14:50
Thanks Clive. I've read a lot about Terry Venables this week, and having gone to Loftus Road for the first time in that Gordon Jago promotion season, I've always remembered him fondly, and it's been a sad week. But it was only on reading those recollections from Rangers fans, especially the young lad on the train, where it really got me. RIP TV. |

Thanks Clive, perfect. I turned to my mate at half-time, welling up a bit after Chloe Kelly and Stan's family had been on the pitch, and said this can't go to shit, can it? I think I knew that it could. Thankfully it didn't. What a day. |

Feel pretty gutted. It'll be many a year until we have a manager with as much dignity again. Thanks Mark. I hope they're lining up some brilliant replacement that no-one's yet thought about. It could quickly get ugly next season if things don't start well. |

Great interview, Clive. Seems so level-headed, a gentleman. I wonder who the Houston & Rioch players were that Danny said you had to be careful how you talked to them? I remember us signing Rose, Morrow and Harper. Can't recall who else came in. |

I remember when Warburton arrived, and one of your correspondents at Brentford, Forest or Rangers (I forget which), talked about how he would stubbornly stick to the same plan even when things were obviously going badly. That's what we're seeing now. (My God, was Millwall really last week? It all feels like one endless mush of shit at the moment. I can't tell these games apart anymore...) |

I don't know what Nedum's punditry plans are, but he'll smash it. I can't think of a single ex-pro on TV who's as calm, thoughtful and articulate as him. I hope the Beeb pick him up. Great interview. |

A Rangers Facebook forum I belong to was full of comments to the effect of "we should've got Gareth in a year ago"; "we should get Gareth in now"; "the only reason we haven't got Gareth is because of Ferdinand"; etc, following Wycombe's win last night. That would of course necessitate another marked change of playing style and personnel. And the same people would be calling for Ainsworth's head when it doesn't work out. |
| News Comment | F-awesome Forest set QPR on road to ruin - Report at 11:50:35
Even with the club's more pragmatic approach of late, the need for a goalkeeper and c/b and/or Romaine Sawyers-type in January is clearly evident. I just hope MW gets enough points on the board in the hectic few weeks ahead that Les & Co haven't felt the need to hit the panic button before January comes around. At the moment you look at Barnsley away even, and can't be filled with confidence. |
| News Comment | McClaren under fire after latest QPR cup crash - Report at 23:15:29
The last time we saw a fringe player seize an opportunity would have been Bright Osayi Samuel against Bristol Rovers in the last round. His reward has been about a quarter of an hour on the field since. I hope Scowen (or whoever) makes the most of Cousins' suspension so that he doesn't walk straight back into the team. I fail to see what he's contributed at LR since scoring for Charlton a few years ago. |
