…maybe my suggestion needs to be a bit *more* slapstick?…

Put a huge Perspex screen in front of the upper school end. Block them in and silence them, then pipe in the sound of Q block - that’ll do it.

I’ve said this before elsewhere - totally agree. Especially good for families to enter via SAR and the club shop + make SAR into a real homezone on match days… this is definitely possible if a canopy was installed as Michael Drain’s designs in my post above.

Depends how the canopy is angled. See https://www.michaeldrain.com/project/qpr-stadium-loftus-road which shows how it could be done

Bannon 🤢
Jon Swift when WBA came here - similar ‘quarterbacking’ to Bannon’s

I find myself agreeing but also wanting to downvote this suggestion. Horrible but brilliant player at this level.

Hypothetically (when pigs fly) yes. We’d be swapping a cracking player who is 27 and fully grown for a future England captain.

Now back to reality - when Saints get relegated and QPR sneak up via the playoffs; Edwards and Dunne will be ours next season. 🫡

Might have been said on the four pages here, but consider the situation where QPR accidentally get promoted via the payoffs and Southampton inevitably get relegated. It could be an obvious move for Edwards to QPR.

I also wonder whether we could see a fully fit Clarke-Salter for a season as he might quite like playing a full season in the comfort of the premier league.

Edwards + Clarke-Salter in the premier league could maybe cut it for a 4th bottom QPR.

Meanwhile, we’re 3 points off 6th with a winnable match on Tuesday and then a winnable match on Friday next week.

Did you get to the Millwall match in the end S_E?

I’ll bear that in mind when I go to the tattoo shop and get Hastings_Hoops tattooed across my own chest. 😂

Have to admit, I spat my dummy with the club generally in October… still not happy about a number of things and this is very much early days relative to success or otherwise of players. What I would say is that the corner seemed to be turned when Nourry started to communicate injury updates to the supporters which showed the light at the end of the tunnel and possibly galvanised that notable support of Marti - the catalyst for a sliding doors moment?

This gives me hope that at 27 years old Nourry is still open to learning and (considered)change in approach.

Re-phrase: “under Nourry’s oversight”

Noted re Celar, Ashby and Santos - so, to date Nourry has. 2/3 success rate (early days) - which ain’t bad if that sustains.

Re. Morgan - surely Nourry has the final say and the means of identifying him isn’t key?… ultimately he’s demonstrated a willingness to use old-school word of mouth when appropriate.

Having said that Nourry has last say in signings - the Ashby one smacks of Amit taking him on because Reuben has given him a call.

I think we need to get some balance - the way it’s panning out, Nourry has done quite well with his signings…

Morgan - great signing
Saito - great signing
Varane - great signing
Morrison - great signing
Dembele - looked good before injury
Nardi - great signing
Madsen - terrible

& the loans (Edwards and Min-Heyuk) look handy too.

…that really isn’t too shabby

Dunne off?
at 18:34 3 Feb 2025

This is the odd thing with Dunne - even now, at 27, his value to QPR is greater than the value his sale would generate for QPR… As with cook etc, this is likely to be the case even more so (as you say Hunter) when he’s over 30.

Feel like we should give him a four year deal and then ultimately he’s with us for good.

I do make sure that the Millwall defence was in no uncertain terms about how poor they were for letting a team of the quality of QPR play right through them for the equaliser - made me feel better about not being able to celebrate… also owe Sam Field an apology for venting at him to maintain my cover.

To be fair, from the Millwall end; I thought he gave a few in our favour… especially liked (and I mean that) when he waved play on as Edwards lifted their guy and placed him into touch in the second half.

Of course, I took the opportunity (under cover) to testiculate at their player for not playing the Millwall way.
