Norwich losing heads, ref good and Morrisson lucky
at 10:15 9 Dec 2024

Norwich have always come across as entitled when they play QPR.
They expect everything to go their way and when it doesn't they bitch and whine.

They still miss hardman Todd Cantwell.

Wimpy was always a nice burger, but what they charge now is way over the top.

Not too bad but a deliberate trip on Cook in the first half didn't get a card and he seemed to be terrified of Saville, who was in his face for most of the game, eventually getting booked late on, when it didn't matter.

Why that was ditched in the first place is beyond me.
It just gives the goalie license to waste time.

Acca payout, stories of success
at 18:51 3 Sep 2024

I was at Windsor races, and a mate of mine, who was not a big or regular gambler, placed a £2 each way bet on a favourite, which came third.
When he went to collect, the bookie said "three eighty, give him four.
The assistant counted out, eight fifty pound notes and handed them to my mate.
Who would still be standing there now if his wife hadn’t snatched the notes and said, let’s get a drink.

Where are all the insects?
at 16:23 22 Jul 2024

The grass verges, where I live are not being cut, to encourage the bees and other wildlife to flourish, rather than cutting costs.
I haven't seen a bee and very few wasps.

Currently in West Sussex, loads of moths and butterflies, but again no bees.

Serbia 🇷🇸 v England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Match Thread

TAA. It has been mentioned a few times and I agree, I really do not get the hype around him playing in central midfield.
As I recall he started to struggle defensively for Liverpool, poor marking and a bit of ball watching etc.
So Gary Lineker and his gang decided, that he should play in midfield for England.
At one point last night a pass he made was described as a pass the no other player could have made.
A good player but not a CM for England.

Blast from the past.

I remember this, mainly due to the amount of swear words that came out of my dads mouth when Don Revie's name was mentioned.

George Jones. A good year for the roses.

Brings back too many sad memories.

A tick in his plus column for that, one of very few ticks.
I read it, that he was saying, come on get up we all know you're not injured.

I seem to remember hearing or knowing that our pitch was actually bigger than Highbury.

Although Arsenal supporters always complained about coming to Loftus Road, mainly due to the size of the pitch and watching Tony Adams get screwed into the floor by Roy Wegerle.

Who is your Non-League side?
at 18:12 20 Mar 2024

Hampton, before they were Hampton and Richmond, then
Sandhurst Town.
I am now back in Hampton, so it is Hampton and Richmond for me.
Good ground, nice bar and a few good pubs as well.

Clatts was a good ref but he did love a camera.

I thought Stirchley had his name written all over it, it may still.

Marathon Walk
at 10:47 23 Feb 2024

My sister in-law is a pancreatic cancer survivor.
For her it was a last minute referral that saved her life and she is in the 1% of people with pancreatic cancer who have survived more than 10 years, which is an appalling statistic.
Because of this, she set up the Pancreatic Cancer Action charity, which campaigns and lobbies for faster and earlier diagnosis of this dreadful disease.
Anyone living with, diagnosed with, or being treated for Pancreatic Cancer, it could be very worthwhile contacting the charity, they are there to help and your story may help others.

Good luck with the walk, please let us know how it goes.
