QPR's cup wagon rolls on - Report
at 01:01:18

Thank you Dave. Great report and the pain of watching the Rs limp out of cups, as I expected them to do here following the ragged performance against Swindon and the abysmal Preston game meant I stayed away. Looking forward to the Sunderland game and hoping that we not only have a decent crowd but also put out a strong team.
Its the hope that kills...

Improving QPR comfortable winners against bad-tempered Blues — Report
at 09:48:55

I know results mean everything but I am just relieved that entertainment is returning to watching this side. Some of the games this season have been hard to bear... and I dont mean the Fulham games either.
We may be a bang average side, but great to come away from a game feeling so contented. Still baffled by fans that boo but it is wonderful that in a relatively short time, Polti is not plagued by the awful treatment he had at the hands of some in the reverse fixture. If Jamie can have cult status, I see no reason why the BFG shouldnt either
Onto MK Dons. The land of no pubs and a large away follwoing, against a struggling team. What could possibly go wrong!

Blues making good progress, but could they push harder? Interview
at 10:02:00

If you don't want promotion and testing yourself against better teams, then football isn't for you.

Care to comment Clive?

If they get promotion, then the sensible thing is to bank the money and get stronger for the next time as Burnley seem to be doing

QPR ready to begin preparations in advance - Preview

Mentioned on the BBC website that Ipswich have the worst successful passing percentage at 62.5%. Could be a shocking midfield game of both sides continually losing the ball. Control that and we might get that elusive first home win. Depends on whether Ale has a good game or one of mistakes. 1-1

Wonderful article.
I don't know about others, but I enjoy watch players who I have little expectations of. Watching young players develop or fail, rather than wondering why Fer can't put in the kind of performance he did at Sunderland. Despite the turmoil of the autumn, it is great that we appear to be back to the promises of the summer of trying to do the right thing

"You never can tell with QPR? It's part of the charm". Hmm, that is one way of putting it

Hasnt Junior scored three in three against Wolves?

The away game was one of the most entertaining of the season. Hope, for those going, the return leg is too

The long road from Austin to Washington — Signing

Another great article and glad you made the questions over Les a major part of it. There are still some who have the patience and hope that all that has happened, in the last six months or so, will lead to a healthier and more traditional club that Rangers once were

I like to think that you enjoyed your time here almost as much as us, Charlie.Your easy-going manner and effortless skill seemed to suggest that. All the best for you and your family in the future

Absolute privilege to have had Charlie at our club and for those with young children, what a role model for them to look up to

Same time next year then — Report
at 14:34:41

Despite having been offered a lift to Rotherham next weekend, it is getting harder to motivate myself to watch the Rs atm. It is just bereft of much to talk about. On the plus side, an enjoyable day with my sons and meeting up with other Rs
Will be back up there in three weeks hoping that JFH sticks a rocket up their backsides and tells them that we deserve better... which is so hypocritical as I was not impressed with the attitude to the cup, his team selection and dubious substitutions. Since when was this regarded as a pre-season friendly

You are such an excellent journalist, capturing the perfect essence of the 90 mins. perosnally, I was staggered that it was such adecent FF to listen too, as having AS and Lee Hoos upfront didnt wet the appetite.

I do think he was the shrewdest acquisition this summer and raised my hopes again for this season and beyond

Runners and riders in the annual new QPR manager race - Column

"There are names on there I would class as a season ticket returnable offence"... brilliant

Greatt read... still have absolutely no idea what to expect, though I suspect they may hold onto NW and ensure that some chaos ensues over Les and his role. What's the point of doing this without potentially more damage down the line

If it is NW and possibly Derry, I am concerned about the 'coaching' side of the club. They will need to bring in more coaches?

KJ seems the most sensible, but only if the club are sensible about concentrating on the club's long term future rather than the teams short term future

Ramsey takes the long walk, but the root cause of the problems remains - Column
at 00:08:15

Perhaps the only question not answered in such a excellent article is whether being 'received of Head Coach duties ' means he is remaining at the club. Do his ability to work with youth players as a coach, I hope this might at least be the case. It woulb the mark of immense humility to do so, particularly when I feel h hasn't been treated that by the club in the way I would hoped he might, even if they were planning on removing him.
Whatever happens to him next, I really hope it hasn't damaged what a fine honest individual he is and that he can find success somewhere. Who would wish our board upon any manager? The Tango and Cash years may have been farcical but this is a low point for me. Having been sold on the idea of laying foundations for the future and the about turn after transfer deadline day reeks of everything that is wrong with the board and getting Our Rangers Back seems as distant once again.
Just waiting for whoever is next on charge to announce that in retrospect, consolidation is once again the focus of this season. With the string of games we have coming up, that should be around Jan probably following our enviable cup exit

En interesting review, but had me pondering. Is CR a great coach of individuals, we all know of successes he has had in the past of developing young players, and perhaps not a great coach of teams. It could even be argued that some of the summer signings were that of individuals rather than those that would play well in a team.

Maybe I am stating the obvious and this is in fact the difference between a coach and a manager

Ramsey feels the heat as QPR lose at Birmingham - report
at 09:29:56

Thank you Neil. Despite not wanting to post on here now, sensible posts like your's, Clive's and some others are why I will still read this board. The support this season has, at times, been what potentially ruins a good day out. Still beyond me where we lost the ability to get behind a new manager and chant "xyz's Blue and White army". Wont let that prevent me attending games in an intriguing season and the hope, although vain, that the club has turned a corner and moving in the right direction

Cant make head or tail of the NW appointment. I hope it is a move by the board to show that they will stick by CR come what may, but I fear not

Uncle Tony back in town — preview

Enjoyed that. For all the emphasis on promotion after thursday, I am not convinced that TF is anything more than a fan dazzled by bright lights. Thank goodness he got Les in, and I dont accept that Les was doing anything more than stating the obvious, along with reiterating the need for solid foundations

To hear Andy Impey state that the club is getting back the feel of when he spent is time here is the music my ears want to listen to. The CR and Les plan is to give us our Rangers back. Compete this sseason yes, but given the doubt about whether we are good enough to get promotion points to a dreadful return to the Prem if we got there.

Cash in the bank? While that sounds attractive, the better players we would have would be snapped up upon relegation, leaving another rebuilding job, though you would hope by then we have a better system in for snapping up talent as well as bringing through our own.

I will be shot down for this, but if there is someone who is best suited to that job, it is still CR and Les double act

My long run of successful trips to the Midlands comes to an end today, but still looking forward to seeing my team, my Rangers

At the same time, numerous keyboard warriors, the vigour of their opinion unfettered by non-attendance, power up their device of choice and prepare to bury rather than praise.

Thanks for the report, in place of Clive. Very enjoyable read. For all its incompetence and moments of brilliance, the roller coaster of emotions, it was a game I really enjoyed... especially at the end.
