70mill over 3 years isn’t a fantastic outlay in this day and age. Coupled with the fact there will be another fire sale in the summer to balance the books again. The problem is most of the squad is now made up of their duff signings or stalwarts that are to poor to move on. Once you sell Ramsdale, fernadez and Dibbling , the rest will bring a n petty change. |

Other than Ramsdale we have no leaders in the squad. I’m not sure who you are expecting to lead . Downes has been terrible this season and not worth his place in the team. You keep saying Tall Paul has not wanted to know for the last couple seasons. I think you are wrong, saints didn’t treat him well or want him. He would easily get 10goals in a full season of premiership football. It will take Armstrong 5 seasons to get there. Even then he is reliant on pens.
I like Ivan Juric personally, at least we look like we might score. |

Armstrong has had 3 seasons in the premiership and can’t cut . What’s the point of continuing to play him? Surely it’s better that he goes on loan scores some goals and ready to try and fire us to promotion next season. He won’t be getting sold as no championship club could afford him.
Downes has been terrible and not made the step up. He is made of glass and gets to many bookings. If he can be moved on great. But again I doubt there will be any takers.
As for Tall Paul he’s another in the long line you slag off. His first 3 seasons here we have treated him terribly. I wouldn’t blame him for not being interested. How ever he’s shown a good attitude and with a full season would get 10 goals in the league |
