Radio advert for some nonsense Directory Enquiry type service called "Maureen 118212". Putting on a silly voice for a radio ad is just lame and, more to the point, who even needs your poxy service ("£2.50 plus call charge") in the era when even my Nan's got a smartphone?

Losing, and never again finding, the end of the sellotape. I know they do those spool things, but I'm not a supply teacher with a gonk on the end of my pencil and patches on my jacket.
Come to think of it, the whole Christmas wrapping experience is distressing - can't I just transfer dollary-doos straight to the kids instead ? |

Well now I feel really ignorant.
Never knew he was a Hoop (100 games !) and I spent parts of my youth at Wealdstone questioning in song his mother's promiscuity. For me he was just another loser manager for that pile of doo-dah, Harrow Borough.

Thank you to whoever recommended 'American Pastoral' by Philip Roth on a previous book thread. Not an easy read as it unpicks the conflicts and guilt of a father knowing that his daughter has committed murder.
Now on "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" which is already challenging preconceptions of madness. |

Done exactly the same thing in Dunelm - its that or blow your brains out. Also have to write QPR with a finger on any dirty cars found on holiday.
