Why on earth are we not tapping into our academy when we clearly have a squad that is average at best and more importantly sinking fast? With Grimes leaving and Darling surely gone in the summer, this together with no one of any calibre coming in this window shouldn't we be investing in some our youngsters to give them experience of the championship this season.
I'm not an expert on our younger players but surely we have a few with real promise that we could utilise to give the team something different, just ploughing on with the squad we have makes no sense whatsoever. I honestly don't think we will go down but even if we do wouldn't it be better to invest more in our academy rather than bringing in more average loan players.
This squad needs a boost, get a few promising and lively youngsters in there who aren't crippled with a fear of passing the ball forward.

Cotterill could come back to replace Grimes presumably but only has under 50 games to his name. He is playing regularly at Swindon. Congreve is a improving at Bromley and scored some goal recently. He is a big powerful lad who ultimately will be able to bully smaller players. I have seen him score free kicks from distance. Cullen pulled out a sensational free kick from nowhere last month. These guys need to bring they skills to the table.
Govea and Sam Parker are fast and can join the first team squad. Everybody else is on loan. The underage teams have been getting bad results as they gave not been populated with trialists and average age is dropping.
Wilson has gone to Yeovil and Abdullai scandalously sold. Dan Watts has skills and generally flies under the radar.
Yates and Kuharevych could conceivably be recalled but that looks unlikely.
