Possession Based football. 09:40 - Dec 14 with 3944 viewsonehunglow

Interesting article from Souness on how boring he sees this .
He quotes RM on saying he’s embarrassed to only be on five points but won’t change his police .
Possession stats mean nothing in reality.
Most impressive passing stats involve the ball passed in the defending third and shows most passing to be backwards or sideways .
It must be frustrating for a striker these days as they are not given the ball when they should .
We are so typical of this .
My opinion is that it is the primary reason so many home fans have walked . The fare is simply boring .
Fans want goals, excitement in front of goals . Endless sideways passing really is boring .
It’s time .

Totally off topic sorry but similarly, Chris Martin caught the tube to his own Coldplay concert in the O2 Arena. He was surrounded by Coldplay fans (all 2 of them😂😂) who didn’t recognise him. Laudable I suppose but still can’t stand the band. Sorry Max

We have never lost by more than one goal all season.

Losing is still losing. Nothing wrong with possession football BUT it has to be possession with a purpose, not passing for the sake of it.

Arsenal weren't mucking about on the edge of their own box, they were pressing high and put Palace under a lot of pressure.
