He did, we kept him for a bit whilst he was injured but then wolves recalled him.

Rayns correct we probably would have gone up if he had stayed.

It amazes me how Watson claimed there was no recruitment process in 2023 when he joined.

I'm sure that was also confirmed by an article Keith did. Res thinks if you bang on about a falsehood often enough you hope some will believe you. Not true in this case, everyone knows its BS.

I have been told by a good source who works for the BBC ( well he is only an electrician who works on lighting for TV and films. However any source will do going by Res's stories ) that they are bringing back a revamped version of Jackanory, only for adults this time, and have approached you to be the resident storyteller.
Due to the fact that your record for telling fictional stories on here has got to Director General of the BBC

I have never seen anyone so sensitive to having their figure corrected. If you post figures they are either right or wrong and yours were wrong. Its life. We all make mistakes and numbers can be checked.

(I thought Robert Maxwell body was never found as speculated he may still be alive on another thread I was wrong as a copse was recovered and he would be 120 years old. It was a fair cop. I think it was Joesus who rubbed it in very well.)

What figures do you harp on about ?
I have no knowledge of how much has been paid by individuals or groups into the club, for the club or whatever.
The one thing I do know is that neither do you.
I would take the word of Keith, Phil Sumbler and certain others as gospel if they told me any figures ( they do not as they respect the confidences of their contacts )
You can only correct a person if they state opinions and claim them to be facts.
So if I speculated that the club was bought for £100 million and sold for £20 million, it is merely that - speculation,
The only facts I stand by and which cannot be argued with are that Levien and co bought a club in the Premier league and sold the club in the lower reaches of the Championship
They also took over a club which had a group of players worth many millions , a Cat 1 Academy, a thriving commercial operation and attendances in the 19k to 20k bracket with a waiting list for season tickets
Now we have a group of players worth much less, an Academy which is a shadow of itself, a part time ticket shop and uninspiring commercial operation and season ticket sales which ( I believe ) is sub 10k and may be less this year and attendances which if not for the away support in the last game would have been (IMHO) below 10k
Yet you still argue in the face of all that and claim that Levien and co's tenure was a success and that we should be grateful for their benevolence in selling the club for such a low price ?
In truth who would have paid anywhere near what they paid for the club ?
Whilst we do not know what has happened behind the scenes, it is evident that no alternative group of investors or successful businessmen were prepared to "reward their achievements " by paying a king's ransom for the club ?

Levien's time was not a success. They failed. I have said so. The club was already on the skids when they arrived Huw Jenkins and Clement's disastrous transfer widow sealed relegation.

The Trust legal case was bonkers because they though the club was heading for relegation league two and possible administration I suspect. They embarked on legal action as they tried to salvage something from the wreckage.

The controvertible loan note changed every thing. The reason for legal action was over as the US people took control and invested. Martin was their final hope and the man let them down and broke his contract.

The club I read was sold at a significant discount. They could have sold to the Trust who have £1,300,000 and do not know what to do with the money. That was never considered a good option.

How on earth do you know the financials?
They have not been published officially or in the public domain.

If you publish the source we will take your word. "read that the club was sold for £3,000" - where has this been reported?????????
I expect Andy and Ken would want to know as well.

thank you. I look forward to seeing it.

£3,000.....?

How much do you think the club has to wasted on legal fees for this transaction to be completed. + maybe consulting fees/commissioning fees?

I have amended the post to "sold at a significant discount. " Apologies.

The story of the £10m payment to the sellers if the club is in the Premier league upto 2035 is also hard to find.

The club would not normally be charged with the fees for the sale transaction I would think. This is between the buyers ad sellers. .

Fans need to know if this is a leveraged buyout. Did the new owners borrow money and put he loan onto the club. Thus happened with Burnley.
