Noticed Madsen was a lot more pacey in chasing down today and actually won two or three decent challenges.
Sometimes you have to hold your hands up to some players and say well done.
They are all talented players otherwise they would not get the opportunities in this league but as young men getting shed loads of grief from fans and bearing in mind also they are all living in a foreign land out of their home environment a d comforts, it takes some guts to gradually improve when fans are getting on your back.
Appreciate some will say it's the bare minimum expected but I thought he played well today and definitely credit where credit is due.

In the last three games he’s done a ton of hard yards when we don’t have the ball, chasing down and closing everything off.

He's definitely noticeably quicker over 5-10 yards and getting stuck in a lot more.
Could do without his attempts to play clever flicks in our own half though - get us into trouble more often than not.

Improvements all round from the new boys, Madsen is finding his feet so to speak and getting more involved game by game. Thought Varane was ok today but does have a habit of being over elaborate on the ball with too many opponents around him and turning into trouble, caught out a couple of times. Saito a real diamond worked hard again for the team and Morrison doing well, but still working up his fitness. Morgan still learning his trade some loose passes, but like the way he tries to rectify his mistakes, nearly scored. Ashby had a good 2nd half another one finding his feet in the team. Nardi is excellent but not really had much to do really as Norwich were quite poor on the attack. |  | | |

Interesting game from Morgan. I thought his best one so far. Matched up to the Norwich midfielders really well. Yes, one or two misplaced passes but that will come with experience. He is going to be our next Sam Field. When he fills out he's gonna boss it ! | | | |

I think he is fine, he's upped is work rate and is starting to adjust, given the conditions never going to suit his passing style. You'd never have thought we had scored from one of his corners today given some of the comments. Paal only came over to give it a go at an in swinger as the wind was blowing so hard so putting one under the bar made sense as it was it went straight out of play. Everyone fit he is probably 3rd or 4th choice on set pieces after Chair, Anderson and Dembele |  | | |

He also got crushed in a tackle which did not even draw a yellow card from that useless ref and I wont mention the straight red that should have been shown for the arm to the face on Morgan .We got 5 yellow they only got 2 that is beyond belief to my eyes .

At the moment I just don't see anything in him that makes me think he would be starting games if we had a fully fit squad.
If Dembele was fit he'd be in at 10. Who would have Madsen over 18yo Morgan in Central midfield? Not many I bet.
He is getting praise for making a couple of tackles and pressing.
He isn't going to control a game or dominate midfield, he just kind of floats around not really influencing it.
I really want him to succeed, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but he needs to being loads more.
Dave Mc at WLS in a podcast a few weeks back said that loads of clubs looked at Madsen, but all passed due to being 'to slow and weak for the Championship '. I wonder what stat that is shown as in the QPR database? | | | |

In his ITV interview Jimmy mentioned that a player sat in house house for four hours this week while a plumbing issue was being sorted out - to help him as he couldn't be there with his personal difficulties. Mentioned it was Nicolas that did that so presuming he meant Madsen - which is at least a sign he's a good bloke.
Be interesting if we wound up playing Kolli up top, with Chair, Dembele and Saito behind him at some point this year. Would surely be the shortest ever frontline if it did come about. | | | |
