Of course people see games differently and often make valid points, but you need an open mind regarding players to do that. Often good players have poor games and players who have been struggling have a better game that's football. Grimes is not making as many mistakes this season his movement when receiving the ball in the midfield has been much better with his first touch taking the ball away from the pressing player, he is not getting caught on the ball by the solo press. The question is when he drops so deep he slows the progression across the back line and hence the switch of play from one side to the other.
We have seen him and team operating much better when he is higher up the pitch being the playmaker but to do that he really needs to let others do the defensive work more often. | | | |
