Good for him. He needs to kick on. Cullen and Cooper are only regulars art 24 and 25 and been given a lot of time to develop. Slow burners. I was surprised how big Congreve was. He can out muscle players at u21 but league two is different gravy.

The club have a lot of faith in him despite his struggles in Bromley and at Port Vale last season. Cardiff Met even before when he was injured. He actually signed another extension so is at Swansea until June 2026. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/josh-thomas/profil/spieler/551011

Thanks for that I thought it was his last season. With the extra 12 months they will have to recall him and place him somewhere else. He's to old for the u21s and not good enough for Bromley in league two.

Perhaps he can play in the RoI league to get games and goals. Cameron Evans saved his career there and got a contract at Newport. Recall now rest him and find a summer league slot. RoI USA or Scandinavia.

Not good enough for us imo , he was the golden boy of the class of 2013 .Great that he's got this far but imo JD Cymru Premier League awaits Briton Ferry perhaps if they survive this season.

Mate he will get stronger. Let’s see how he is after a year in the big boys game before being so rash. [Post edited 5 Dec 15:10]

Both he and Lloyd need to develop a tougher mentality from anecdotal instances of petulence I have very seen from both. Both were cases were their teams were 0-2 down mid way through the second half. When everything seems to go against you the strong players change the narrative. [Post edited 7 Dec 10:49]

A player down last night and the team fought well. Even after a late penalty they went on to score an equaliser. Lloyd changed it by laying on the equaliser. As stated on last night's thread. I would say they have tough mentalities. The major issue is the gap in standard between the u21s and the first team, nobody is progressing through, even when they go out on loan they don't seem to be making an impact, I would say the last to deliver was Cooper at Newport. What is the answer I'm not sure until we get Cat one again.

This is true. Lloyd has come on and maybe developed a tougher mentality. This is what the academy is for. Lloyd has a great engine and a strong runner. Not all failed loans are fault of the player. Dan James did not get a kick at Shrewsbury and clearly was more than good enough enough for them. I saw his debut for Swansea little later and he was electric.
