Thoreau's line about the mass of men 'leading lives of quiet desperation' seems ringingly apposite when it comes to QPR fans in these desolate days. Perhaps we're part of the problem, and we need to become loudly desperate/despairing. It's not really working for us right now, is it, either way?
I'm morbidly interested to see how Marti reacts if the boos for Celar louden, for instance. How much credit does he have for last season in this board's lugubrious, scapegoat-hungry and sentimental minds? Another week or two? Another month? Till Easter (and the mighty lurch of resurrection/belated relief of relegation)? Or, as some posters have been insisting, is he basically beyond critique and the preordinately best suited to refloat our boat in Division One, should we sink?
