Lots of empty seats too.
Capital .
Our capital at that
A little light entertainment before the rugger

A city that has always had the capital tag weighing it down heavily and they are desperate to justify themselves in every way possible, but disproportionately over us. That’s why Glamorgan County Cricket has been ripped out of St Helens and they also propose the Ospreys culling despite being the only really successful (and by definition thr only true) rugby region within Wales. This is after bankrolling the Dragons for years who hardly win 4 games all season historically.

They always point the finger at us being inferior when it’s their own inferiority complex driving them to do so. Sam Hammam said the quiet part out loud when he belittled our fine club and tried to tell us we should be supporting his Welsh “super sleeping giant” of a club (that was never considered a giant by anyone before or after). If we had have gone t*ts up in the Petty era Swansea would now be a sporting wasteland and that would sit well with them in the “Capitol”.

Turn them down most weeks for a variety of prorgrammes, but I like Rob a lot known him for thirty years. Top man. Big County fan.

Always has a multiple o when Cardiff score though. Foot in both camps I suspect

The Capitol was a great venue for concerts
Saw Beach Boys there in 1966 ,at their peak and Emerson Lake and Palmer in 1970.
Two seminal moments in my life

I think if you studied the development pathways from 8/9 year olds through to the first team squad you would realise all the rugby regions in Wales are truly regional.

Happy days ,ya old bugger !

I enjoyed going to Cardiff for big nights out and particularly the old Arms Park .

In recent times,I’ve been down for the FIM Speedway GP. They construct a pretty good track where you can actually pass although they could put more shale down . Atmosphere is terrific but not a patch on the old one night Final
How about this for nostalgia
.just for you

The capital thing is quite bizarre ,does anyone really care when they sing ‘we are your capital’ as you say it’s seems an inferiority complex as it’s blatantly obvious we are a far more successful side this millennium.

I can’t imagine Orient fans chanting capital nonsense when they play games.

It really is Bizarre - especially when there wasn’t an official capital until 1955 ! It’s not exactly a historical capital city but they compare themselves to Parisians lol

Machynlleth
Known as the "ancient capital of Wales", Machynlleth was the site of Owain GlyndƔr's Welsh Parliament in 1404. The town is home to GlyndƔr's senedd-dƷ (parliament building). However, Machynlleth has never been officially recognized as the capital

That paragraph also puts to rest the claim the current government is the first parliament of Wales.

And NO, I don't give a monkeys about Cardiff being the "cureent" capital. As several posters on here know and hate, I am British and Welsh, London is my capital.

Strata Florida will always be my capital.
From the time that the English killed our true Welsh Prince near my home town.

I don’t know if you’ve done your family history but there’s a good chance your ancestors fought against the Welsh at that time or were at least not Welsh. Think of old Great Uncle Percy who gallantly fought for your forebears😂

We could be from anywhere. My tree goes back just over 300 years, and it was very Welsh then.
But my blonde hair and good looks, I could be Scandinavian before that. Who knows.

Indeed.

Cardiff is not a proper capital city in the same way as say, London, Paris or Berlin are. It's a regional administrative centre. On the same basic level as Erfurt or Pamplona.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
