Ipswich ,Blackburn , Cardiff 23:01 - Mar 26 with 1633 views | 1teeminants | All sold out .More tickets for Blackburn coming .Very impressive. Come on you Saints . I can’t make Ipswich but going to all the rest .Great feeling this season,I’m loving that winning feeling . If we don’t make it I won’t cry over it as I’m enjoying the championship. I don’t expect much of a reply to this as it’s a happy positive post. [Post edited 26 Mar 23:08]

You can have the whole stand if you have the numbers. Which would be the 7,500.

We’ve only sold 2,300 for Blackburn so far, so doubt we’ll take more than 3,000 to Blackburn, which is still pretty good but nowhere near 7,500. Cardiff should sell out today or tomorrow less than 300 tickets left Around 2,800 sold for Leicester

Looks like I’ve been given false info then re Cardiff. I Was told Cardiff sold out as someone tried to buy one last night. I think 3000 for Blackburn would be good I remember going up there early one Friday the fixture was on a Friday night when we played them in the FA cup early eighties I think and it was live on TV . David Armstrong scored and we won 1-0 . Mental days. [Post edited 27 Mar 7:48]

The championship will be fun for one season. Any longer and we will be sliding. The club is broke and I would guess in danger of breaking ffp rules

What evidence do you have that the club is broke ? A genuine question

Hull, West Brom, Norwich are all teams that are consistently near the top of the championship so it hasn’t really harmed them. I don’t want to stay here forever I want to win the championship next season if we can’t do it this time. I want a trophy . 😎

It would be nice to win something, but what ever division we are in next season is a relegation battle. The difference between the 3 clubs you mention is they dont have our debt.

If it isn't broke, it will be if we don't go up, and if we haven't got rid of the high earners in the summer. An annual £40 million wage bill for the first-team squad is not sustainable in this division.

Not many assets left to sell either. KWP, Edoize, Fast Kid… That won’t raise much. WE MARCH ON

As none of us have seen the accounts I find it a bit strange that you say this. It’s all assumptions.

Its in the last set of accounts. Last season we made a loss of 93mill after tax. We have a bank loan of 93mill. We have an operational loan with MSD Holdings to pay back. We owe 90mill in transfer fees over the next two seasons. We have a £111 mill to come in (nothing like the 180mill you keep spouting) Edit the last 3 seasons we have lost 13.5mill, 6mill and 93mill. Well over the ffp rules. [Post edited 27 Mar 12:08]

The audited accounts for the year ended 30 June 2023 are in the public domain, you can view them on the Companies House website. Search under “Southampton Football Club Limited”. They aren’t pretty reading; they show that the club is technically insolvent, with a net worth of negative £82 million (the amount by which liabilities exceed assets) as at 30th June 2023. In terms of debt owed, the main ones are £155 million to “group undertakings” (presumably other companies within the Sport Republic group owned by Solak) and £93 million in transfer fees, of which £53 million was payable to other clubs by 30th June 2024. The £155 million debt to group undertakings increased by £80 million in the 12 months to 30th June 2023. Essentially, it’s being propped up by Solak.
