Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England will join 16 other nations as they compete for the ultimate prize in rugby – the Webb Ellis Cup – which was last won by the Springboks in 2019. The opening match of Rugby World Cup 2023 will see hosts France face three-time winners New Zealand on Friday 8th September. The final will take place seven weeks later on Saturday 28th October.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on that.
I think we are going to see the same old game if attrition from Wales or long kicking out if hand. I’ll be surprised otherwise. I do think Fiji could win this though unless we’ve been hoodwinked by the performances in the warm up games. | |

Best team lost. Fuji were excellent and Wales lucky. Discipline is an issue with Wales, the penalty count must be very high and could have cost them the game. [Post edited 10 Sep 2023 22:06]
