Who are the only two Clubs not to have been awarded a penalty this season in the championship.

Swansea and Cardiff

Is that a coincidence?

The average number of penalties award to each team this season in the championship is 4

Middlesbrough are the only team not to have conceded a penalty this season

Only two other teams have not been awarded a penalty this season in the other 3 divisions Burnley and Port Vale

The unfairness is a pet hate of mine, the Welsh teams often tend to be at the bottom of these tables, there can only be one conclusion and that is that there is a bias against the Welsh teams whether consciously or not.

What reasons are there when all things are weighed up and taken into consideration that Welsh teams tend to get less penalties and wrong decisions go their way than English teams, what can the reason be I await the answers ?
My football experience/memories go back decades and I will like to know why consistently Welsh teams get the wrong end of the stick for wrong and critical decisions, why are Welsh teams often towards or at the bottom of the table for penalties awarded or wrong decisions against, why is that ?.....hmm

What tables are you looking at that says we are usually down the bottom of penalties awarded?

Last season we had 7
Year before we had 8
Year before we had 9

That must have been consistently among the most in the league every season since coming down.

I always seem to remember getting a lot of penalties. It’s no coincidence that in our most negative season in this league since coming down we had only one awarded.

Spend less time in the box, get less penalties.

This season seems to have been the highest concentration of long range goals for many years, I haven’t checked the figures.

I remember seeing 'real league ' tables and Swansea and Welsh teams often tend to be bottom or towards the bottom.

If I recall right seeing a 'real league' table when Swans was in the Premier League not only were they bottom but had no wrong decisions in their favour leading to a goal and that was in the February if I remember.
A retired Prem League ref was sent a video of every goal and every disallowed goal, Swans had no wrong decisions in their favour and loads of wrong decisions against them (that lead directly to goals), obviously Man U and Liverpool were 1 and 2 for wrong decisions in their favour.

What does Championship league position mean with regards to penalties awarded?

Bournemouth finished 2nd this season but were 10th in the penalty table.

You said we were often down the bottom of these tables. It’s not true, we are often awarded more than the majority of the league.

Nothing to see here.

I am talking about what is often referred to as the 'real' tables, as regards the official tables Swans penalties don't match Swans league position suggesting Swans don't get their fair share of penalties compared to their league position.

What is referred to as the “real tables”? You are losing me now.

Penalties aren’t shared out in order of most penalties to the top teams and least to the bottom teams, so it’s an irrelevant statistic.

It will largely be in relation to your touches in the opposition box. The more you have the more chances there are for fouls.

This season we will have among the lowest touches in opponents box in the league. I’ve not seen the data, don’t know how to find that statistic - but I bet we would be near the bottom.
