Have you ever met an Argentinian you did not like ?

I am talking the people, not governments.

Try telling that to a Falkland Islander who have to put up with them. They would laugh in your face.

FrNkly, Groo, I’m not sure as to how one can come up with apposite riposte to such a staggering statement by Killy.

Argentinians detest British people.

Maybe moving so close to Argentina sort of made this interaction inevitable.

If you are only comfortable with British people then the Falklands is probably not for you.

🤷‍♂️

That comment shows your ignorance.

Some of the people there are 8th/9th generation Islanders.

Argentine did not get 'close' to the Falklands until the 1860's, when they invaded Patagonia.

It may also have missed your attention that the people in Argentina speak Spanish!

Like any Country, the people are mostly fine, the trouble in Argentina is they indoctrinate their kids about the monster English (English = British to them) telling them how the British stole their lands. The government do whatever they can to hurt the Islanders.

I converse with some Falkland Islanders over Facebook, its heaven at the moment there because of COVID, no Argentinians.

Usually they have group trips every week of people who march up and down the streets in military outfits, waving their flags, leaving them everywhere. The Islanders hate them.

Not my idea of fine at all.

I feel for the Falklanders who would have been hafted under a left wing British government

Of course they are fine.
They worry about money, health and family just like everyone else.

Only in OHLs head do they remain an enemy.

Glad the people of the Falklands are having a peaceful time with no people from an undemocratic country trying to impose their will on a free group of islands which have never been part of either Argentina on it's colonial masters Spain. Wonder if the Spanish settlers who control Argentina will ever return it to their indigenous people.

An incredible question even from you.
The lack of education is unbelievable.

Maybe start with famine in India, indigenous people of Australia, genocide in Ireland, clearances in Scotland, and the brutality of Kenya.

Terrible and cruel events right across the British Empire.

Virtually every European Country did bad things to those Countries that were less advanced.

Britain also did good things.

Just like 2000 years before the Romans did bad things right across Europe but also did good things.

Any Country through history that made advancements and expended, did so with the view to increase their own wealth and power. What do you think China will do if they become dominant and who will suffer?

In Argentina, the Spanish replaced the population with their colonists who later expanded and removed further native population.

Ask where the black population went, Argentina was approx 40% black when they became independent.

I should add when the first known man (an Englishman) stepped onto the Falkland islands, there was no native population.
