I can remember listening to this Danish outfit's album "Terror squad" when I was a student way back in the 80s. A reviewer wrote at the time that he had to close the window while listening to said platter lest the frantic riffing harm the children playing on the swings nearby.
Now a lifetime has passed and here they are again with something slower but still heavy:

London Grammar have just released their third album Californian Soil which will undoubtedly bring them even more success. They've just released a live performance of the album to accompany the album

How on earth have I never heard of this band before? Tsk tsk. This is terrific, stoner rock meets prog meets psychedelic blues meets grunge. Hard edged but not doom-laden, proper singing not growling or shrieking (I quite like growling ackshully ) . See what you think

Some good stuff on this thread, and I'll definitely be listening to that album. Couldn't place him at first but of course he's the guy responsible for this snake hipped bit of genius geetar picking in the first song:
