We faired ok when Bowyer left after 1 match last season but we did have some kind of foundation, as far as the squad was concerned, in place. Bowyer did a solid recruitment job.

Otherwise, it's not an ideal time to lose you manager what with the pre season and the transfer window closing.

There are only 2 relegation places this season and Southend have booked one of them.

Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.
