A long time back, all I can remember was that in an attempt to make it to EVERY game, me & my brothers tried to get across to France for a mid season friendly due to an uneven amount of teams in the top flight. I think that the game was against Le Harve but due to a very rough crossing we weren't allowed to make it over. Other than that we did did every league & cup game, home and away.

The grass is always greener.

1989/90. Every league and cup game, we played 9 FA cup games that season and we also had Stockport away on a Monday night in the league cup, also went to several England games and it wa stud first season of international breaks went to see Orient play Swansea in the third division, went to about 60 games altogether, even turned down a free skiing trip to Austria as we had Sheffield Wednesday away the day it was planned. Doubt I’ll ever do it again.

Best I've done was 89/90 when I missed one game as I was in Italy. Unless I win the lottery it'll never happen now

I did all the games in 87/88.
I just looked at the result and it was 0-0 at Forest a few weeks later.Whatever made me think it was 4-0?

Back in the 80s I was on for it.
We were due to play Sunderland away and they gave the chance of playing it at less that 50%. My brother and a mate went but I thought sod going all that way for a postponement. However, it went ahead and I was gutted. After that I went to all the others apart from Upton Park. I would have gone there if I had gone up to Roker Park but you took your life in your hands back then and I had missed the chance of 100% by then anyway.

Did about five or six years in a row, I think, back in the early 90's.

It was sad but also fun trying to come up with mad travel arrangements to get across the country from whatever family event or work gig I should't have skipped away from!

Edit: Not sure my seasons included all pre-season friendlies.

Didn't do Le Havre away in October 1987 ?? Call yourself a fan ??!! I was one of 5 hardy souls that made it across including Fearless from this parish. To say it was wet was an understatement.

Only done every game twice. The first time was for the reserves in 2000-2001 !!! The next time ended on THAT day at Hillsborough, the only time I've had an away season ticket. After the defeat at the Millenium Stadium the year before, I got caught up in the emotion of Ollies speech ' I will take us up next year, believe in us, come with us'. So I did. And enjoyed every beautiful moment including the defeat at Saltergate in the pouring rain.

Full season a couple of times, missed a handful for a few others, nowadays 5 or 6 a season, which is 5 or 6 more than some who live a couple of miles away.

Not been that close, unfortunately, did around 30 or so around 4 or 5 years ago but there's always at least a few away games I can't make or afford. It's on the list to do at some point though, when finances allow!

Fair play for you trying it this season with a clutch of horrible NW teams and Luton & Millwall included!

Closest for me was all but 5 games one season mid-late 80’s.

I’ll only be able to do 100% if I win the lottery too.

The season just finished was probably the least games I've ever done since I first started going regularly in 82/83.

Sign of the times I suppose

If you were lucky enough to win the lottery would you really waste money watching us play every game?

How did you get across the water? The port officials were absolutely adamant that nothing would be going out or coming in that day.

It's either that or having constant booze and drug fuelled parties surrounded by the sleaziest and dirtiest porn stars money can buy. Who wouldn't want to do 'Boro away on a Tuesday?

4-0 about ten years later which I was at.

Wasn’t born in time for the 0-0.

I did 1990-91. Included the win at Anfield. Which was nice.

We missed the last boat from Pompey on Friday night, slept rough until the first boat on Saturday morning. When I say 'slept rough' , we slept in a tractor in Pompey harbour !!

I did 31 games the first season back in the Prem (2011/12) and that cost me near enough an arm and a leg. Don't think I'll ever do more than that.

Although I was only about 26 then so could still get away with a younguns rail card. Remember going from London to Bolton for about £7 return. Involved about 4 changes though.

There's no doubt it was a lot easier back in the 80's and 90's. Most games were on a Saturday, most midweek games were local enough and all games were far, far cheaper than they are now.

Best of luck, Bazza - hope you get it done.
