I think the truth is probably somewhere in the middle Tommy. Is he an anti Semite? Probably not. Is he afraid of losing momentum (no pun intended) by looking to address these issues? Yes, without doubt. As a relative said "politics is the dirtiest word in the English language"

It's difficult to avoid coming to the conclusion that Jeremy Corbyn is actually just completely bloody thick. Because the alternative is even worse.

Tories are standing as labour councillors and posting anti Semitic or misogynistic hate speech ? Yeah, that's definitely the most likely explanation.

Yup, there are no Labour anti-semites whatsoever, they are all Tories. All those suspended were clearly done so incorrectly, which explains the numbers let back in. Wibble. You have the likes of Scott Nelson ("Socialist Voice"). Suspended from Labour for anti-semitism; Labour MP Chris Williamson claimed Nelson had never posting anything anti-semitic whatsoever. When examples were given to him it then became "Oh, he's repeatedly apologised..". So he apologised for comments apparently not made! As for your latter point, that's possibly one of the most moronic analogies ever. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

See this is the problem. Why on earth do you think that referring to Jerry Hall in derogatory terms is part of a conversation about Corbyn or for that matter, the utterly disgusting Murdoch? Genuinely.

Of course anyone can write anything on a forum. When people repeatedly write anti-semitism on social media freely, it's because they believe it's a) acceptable, b) will be zero sanction for doing so because "free speech". What we're seeing is that the consequences when Labour members are doing so in volumes, are often minor and it's like whack-a-mole. I don't believe Corbyn is anti-semitic per se, but those surrounding him are certainly more dangerous. Where Corbyn has failed is that he's joined groups just so he's seen to be present. He's adopted the Wenger defence of "I did not see that" when examples have been bloody blatant. That just shows a lack of judgment or awareness whatsoever - quite frankly, I'd not expect the leader of the opposition to be on farcebook 24/7 but at least look at the content of groups you've joined every now and then. A lot of this he can also be blamed for with regards to the woefully inadequate Chakrabarti report. People don't seem to realise she wanted a 2 year "statute of limitations" for dealing with cases. Corbyn dithering with regards to setting things up fully in terms of personnel etc mean some very high profile cases will soon lapse - Livingstone, Walker et al. There are elements of the Labour party who are now jumping on board the Corbyn train who are every bit as odious as NF / BNP and should be treated exactly the same way.

Like I said to Ebo the other day nobody had accused Corbyn of being anti-Semitic he was apologising on behalf of the Labour Party then suddenly there’s was his supporters all over social media with the “Jeremy’s a lovely passive man who couldn’t possibly be anti-Semitic it racist” when nobody had actually said he was.

Of course anyone can write anything. But the whole point is that someone else then says 'that's not acceptable' or in a case where there is really dreadful stuff written, right minded people ask for it to be removed, want the person banned if it is repeated, or if it continues, leave the forum. They don't just ignore it and say 'I've never seen anything' and then leave when the press pick it up.

That's a useful deflection tactic which ignores the main point - levels of anti-semitic comment are rising within British society at the moment and it's not the usual suspects the far right behind it for once. Corbyn :"We need to deal with the problem" Others : "Well there's example after example after example..." Corbynistas : "Jezza's good and bright and wonderful and wise, he could never the anti-semitic as he's against all kinds of racism" Others: "Errm, he's acknowledged problems with Labour..." Corbynistas : "You leave our Jezza alone you brutes!" There are a lot of anti-semitic far left now returning to the Labour fold; that's not down to Corbyn per se but more a feeling on their part of emboldenment, that it's the way aboutr should be, that Corbyn is "one of them". He now has a major problem that he's stored up for himself by having not nipped it in the bud years ago - act and he irritates some of his support. Don't act and he'll irritate the public. Labour also have the problem in that quite a few candidates they themselves have selected at all levels have had, within days, anti-semitic posts revealed. If others can easily find those posts on social media then that indicates Labour HQ simply aren't up to scratch when it comes to vetting potential candidates - or don't care.

You were not trying to use her to make a point. You were implying Murdoch should be having a load of sex with the "bint" since you hope and think he will be dead in the near future. Your only "use" of her was to think she was on the planet just to satisfy Murdochs sexual urges. Sexist to the extreme.

Rife? Where racism, sexism exist then it should be dealt with appropriately whichever party the perpetrators follow. What we are seeing and what you cannot deny is that the levels of anti-semitism are larger and more pervasive within Labour than any other party; that's not decrying or justifying any racism by followers of other parties. When Labour try to claim it's not really a problem as JVL said it isn't... JVL is an organisation set up solely to claim there is no anti-semitism within Labour. Why, listen to them as they are Jewish - and ignore the fact the group is packed with self-identifying Jews. Jackie Walker for example. Can't possible be anti-semitic despite all her anti-semitic comments because she found out her dad who conveniently she's not seen in decades just happens to be Jewish. The one logical fail she doesn't quite grasp is that "Jewishness" passes down the female side, by her own admission her mum is Roman Catholic and raised her the same. Her dad being Jewish is nothing more than a convenient tactic to try to evade culpability for her comments. Indeed, the only people who would believe Walker to be Jewish are errm anti-semites / BNP ilk.
