Had one of these for two weeks and am gobsmacked by its capabilities. i want to be fully prepared for the football season though, and just wondering what i need to watch the swans on. I don't mind paying for this. Any advice from those that are experienced with Kodi would be great. Thanks

Someone's actually installing these for a £80 profit???? That's absurd . As we all been finding out the best way is to learn to do them yourself ,as they need as much looking after as an old car :)

Absolutely but I've been told theres quite a few charging that kind of fee!! We're missing a trick I tell you!

Is there an easy way to save a 'favourite'? Sportsdevil is under so many layers of menus, that it takes ages to get at it. It'd be nice to have it on the main screen or right up front on the Kodi menus. Somebody on the previous page details how to save a favourite but I couldn't 'follow it. I didn't get the same menus/options as he refers to. It'd just be nice to have an 'add to favourites' option.

If you just want to add to favourites and not add a specific icon to your home screen, just go to the sports devil addon, highlight it (don't click) and press "menu" on android or "c" on PC keyboard. You should get an option that says "add to favourites". Choose this and it will add a link that will then be under your "favourites" icon. You can go down more levels to for example "vipbox tv" and do the same.

Thanks for that Polskijack. I'll try it when I can. However I have bigger problems now. I've switched on the box this evening only to find Wookie seems to have disappeared and I'm back to a very rudimentary Kodi menu. Also although I can see menus, the screen is blank for everything else ie I go into SS4 and I can hear the golf commentary but the picture is blank. I try to view a YouTube video - again the sound is fine but no picture. It seems to be 1 step forward ,10 back with this device! Anybody recognise the problem?

I presume you mean Apps in Kodi? It's getting weirder, now Kodi won't come up. I think I'm going to have to start again with this box.

Well I had to uninstall Kodi as I couldn't start it. I then re-installed Kodi 15.2 which is a later release than what I'd had previously. It installed ok - I could open it but it was totally empty of add-ons.

I then re-installed Wookie and let it do its business -organising of its views etc. The final instruction from Wookie is "Please disconnect your box from the power supply" which I did. I then reconnected the box and kicked off Kodi.

All the Wookie screens were there but it was all shrunk up into half the screen size. I went into Ukturk-Sports-sky sports 1. Sky sports came up again half screen size.

Question - anybody else running Kodi 15.2 with Wookie?

It seems my sizing problem - everything crammed into half the screen- was due to installing Kodi 15.2. My supplier of my MX TV box warned me that the Kodi 15 release had problems, so I
de-installed it, found a link to Kodi 14.2 and re-installed it. Sizing problem solved. Anybody had a similar experience with Kodi 15.2?

I re-installed Wookie once I had re-installed Kodi 14.2, but it doesn't seem to have included Sportsdevil.

So i am trying to download Sportsdevil separately. Can somebody help me with this?

Michael's instructions say:

"Download the latest SportsDevil add-on (Dated Aug 22nd). Click on the 'Download Now' link & save to a location you can easily access from your Kodi device"

How do you save it to a location you can easily access from your Kodi device? The only place I can see it is in 'Downloads' on the front menu. It goes there automatically when I click on 'download' - I have no control over where it goes. Thanks for any clarification of this. I'm stuck.

The downloads folder is fine.

Just go to:

System - Settings - Add ons - Install from zip file.

The list of folders that appears will include the one where the downloads folder lives. On my box the drive is called external storage. Find this folder that relates to your unix home folder and you'll see the downloads folder inside that and the sports devil zip within that.

The OP States how 'gobsmacked' he is by the capabilities of the android box. I admit to being a little less impressed. Tonight I am trying to watch Cyprus v Wales. So far I have tried to connect using Sportsdevil, UKTurk, Vdubt5, Phoenix and 1 or 2 others. I have failed in each and every case. The only link I can get to work is Mobdro and that has terrible buffering.

I've had this box for a few weeks now and I've come to the conclusion it's good for films but fairly useless for sports. I get a better service from my iPad.

And i'll back up the OP as well.

One of the best things i've ever bought.

I've just watched the first half with no problems at all.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Vdubt worked fine for me. No streams on Pheonix which surprised me a bit.

These boxes aren't magic mate. They're purely scraping normal websites for video links. exactly the same as you could view on a browser on a pc, or your ipad.

I never saw any use in them as i got a htpc connected to my TV but I'm a sucker for a gadget and these days theyre so cheap it was to say no.

Kodi installed on any device does exactly the same thing. Some streams are great, and others rubbish. You pay no money you takes your chances.

I did get a good stream from Sportsdevil for the second half - stable and no buffering, although the picture was a little fuzzy.

I'm thinking of trying a paid subscription service like Sports Donkey or Sports Mania. Anybody got any experience of these services? Are they worth a punt?

I had an excellent picture tonight on Sports Devil, there were a number of links that were first class, UK Turks has got issues now though, script failures. But Sports Devil is as solid as ever.
