Can't understand why Benteke wasn't near Cedric all the time for a free header. Surely Woy missed a trick and hadn't done his homework

Quite funny to see comments from Apr1962 and themoffather on a Saints' fans webpage then followed by Saint Brock's normal negativity. Could he be yet another opposition supporter posting on the wrong site? 😜

Very similar to last week except we didn't concede. Saints were brilliant in the first half again but just couldn't get the final ball right. It looked as if Long had missed a sitter but saw the replay and not many would have scored in that situation. Really strong first half and a bright start to the second until we scored. Then the usual jitters set in and although the defending was pretty epic for the most part, my heart can't stand much more of that, thank you very much. And then the second goal - what a moment, the reaction reminded me of when Chaplow scored against Manure in the cup but it was even better because we knew we'd won. Got to say that's about the best away support I can remember in the last two or three years. It's always good but yesterday was immense. I hardly heard the Palace fans throughout the game and yet they're usually the best home crowd. Well done all the lads, although Austin needs a bit of a reminder and not just because of the penalty. If Southgate was watching, I'd say McCarthy has a good shout for the internationals.

austin is a dead horse and should be sold or sit on the bench.he is also bound for red cards.from the start i thought that Huges is not the right man to lead saints to a top ten final and still do.why not use gabbiadini?why not buying additional attackers when the window was open?the chances missed in palace were a proof that last season lack of cutting edge remained.

If Forest are one of the teams to watch out for we have nothing to fear in this league ... apart from ourselves.
Potter had to make changes (and chose to make others) and it showed. Swans played like strangers.

Time to get Routs, Dyer, and Narsingh more involved as they aint going anywhere.

Still odds on for relegation in my book. This was Brighton with a team full of Johnny No Names on our turf strolling to a point that should never have been on offer to them.

Hojberg is by far the best striker we have so stick him up front and bring back Romeu to shore up the middle of our defence.

If Danny Ings is worth £20m then I am a flipping Dutchman!

Rating the referee at 4.7 just shows how stupidly blinkered and mindset some fans are. He kept a very physical game off the boil and tried to play advantage whenever he could and so helped the fast flowing spectacle at least in the first half.

Both pens were stone cold incontestable decisions and he did little wrong to attract the ire of these fans. But that's Saints fans all over, blame anybody but the bloody players and their useless coaching staff and the ref is their easy target.

This monumental cock-up had F all to do with the referee!
