Victory Over Watford Pushes West Brom Game Towards Sell Out
Thursday, 14th Jan 2016 16:12

It's amazing what a victory can do and after Saints beat Watford there has been rush of sales for this Saturday's game against West Bromwich Albion.

Tickets had been going slowly for the visit of West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, not one of the most attractive fixtures of the season even with the return of Rickie Lambert, the recent poor run of fixtures mean't that the enthusiasm wasn't high for the arrival of the Baggies at St Mary's.

But the win over Watford has revitalised some Saints fans it seems and judging by the Club's online ticket system, tickets for Saturday have been going fast and although there are seats left in most areas of the ground, the choice of them is becoming very limited.

However it seems likely that Saints will release another 800 tickets in block 43, these have so far not been put on sale to home fans, but it seems likely that Albion will only bring around 1,800 supporters to the game according to their official website and this means that block 43 could be sold to Saints supporters should there be a late rush on Friday or the day of the game.

We have a lot for fair weather fans that's for sure. Real fans buy season tickets and take the rough with the smooth, those who cherry pick only the big games and when we are doing well usually weren't interested on freezing Tuesday nights in winter when we were bottom of League 1.

Not sure that's entirely fair Brock. I'd absolutely LOVE a season ticket, believe me, but I simply can't afford one at this moment in time. It's not really 'cherry picking' when you're looking to go to a game that will put a smile on your face and get you shouting (happily), rather than put your head in your hands and give you a deep sinking feeling. I understand it's important to take the rough with the smooth - I was there on those cold winter nights in League 1, like you say - but don't feel it's fair to play the 'plastics' card just because there's a surge in ticket sales after a good win! Come on you Saints, let's make Watford the start of a run :)

SaintBrock you are talking absolutely bollocks. Fans go if they can afford it or not, not because they are fair weather fans. And West Brom is hardly a big game!
