LOL - i'm not quite old enough to have been at that one, I came into proto-existence about a month later. There has been only one other opportunity for that chant, but I think one of the bigger cheers against Leamington Spa in 2005 was when the Brakes got their consolation goal - probably the best goal of the game too. |

That game has generated a lot of media/ social media attention so it would seem. What's the general focus, does it follow the theme of the Away Days vlog? |

Here's a telling stat - only the top three have lost fewer games, only the bottom three have won fewer. We're definitely moving in the right direction, but another striker to support Tovide and Taylor must be top of the January shopping list. Imperative if the right offer comes in for Tovide, because if it does he will be sold. |

Frustrating - a mucky game we could have won, but Newport stuck to their task and got the point they wanted. If the roles had been reversed we'd probably been just as happy. Still, another game undefeated, another clean sheet - there are some positives. |

Wasn't at that one, but I was at our first EFL Trophy visit to Whaddon Road, and it was an equally cold and miserable experience - only on that occasion we lost. Richard McKinney gave away a penalty on the stroke of halftime, so the first touch of the ball for Simon Brown was picking it out of the net. McGleish equalised in the second half, then 'Nam just rolled over us - finished 4-1. |

So the obvious (only?) answer is presumably Robbie Cowling. But surely that’s the one answer it can’t be - aren’t there rules against owning more than one football club, or is that restricted to just league clubs? |

So, our family WhatsApp U's group last night realised there might be a spooky coincidence looming. Last night was our fourth clean sheet in a row, and as I mentioned on the other thread, the last time we achieved that was remarkably nearly 27 years ago in the 1997/98 season under Steve Wignall. What's also notable about the 1997/98 season? The last time we achieved promotion out of League 2, and the last time we appeared at Wembley. Just saying like... |

Definitely, and another clean sheet, 4th on the bounce, on top of seven games unbeaten. On to Saturday against t'other exiles. |

Great first half, should be 4-0 up on that performance. I expect AFCW will be better second half, so still a lot to do. |

Much stronger side on paper selected by Danny, including Macey in goal.
Also, because of kit clash, we're playing in our black away strip tonight. Don't know why AFC couldn't have worked that out themselves and brought their own away strip, but it's only a shirt, shouldn't change anything. |

Seen the photos and you’re right, if he was driving he’s really lucky to be alive. I hope he makes a full recovery, but if the rumours are true about leg injuries his playing days might be over. |

Closed the stand, yes. Moved the goalkeepers, less so |

Not quite en route (fortunately). All trains through Chippenham were cancelled this morning, so I was already on my way home when I learned the game itself had been postponed. Frustrating, but understandable. |

On the clean sheet point, as far as I can tell (across all competitions), the last time we achieved 4 clean sheets in a row was when we beat Posh 1-0 at Layer Road back in February 1998. This followed games against Mansfield (2-0 home), Exeter (1-0 away) and Shrewsbury Town (2-0 away). We went on to make it 5 clean sheets in a row, drawing 0-0 with Rochdale at Layer Rd. Our record is six (twice) and not surprisingly you have to go back to Big Roy's tenure in the 1991/92 Conference for both, October and November 91 and Feb to April 92. |

Think that was the last time, and Stevenage scored two of them. |

On the subject of Notts County, ticket sales suggest a large following from the faithful. For those who are as yet undecided, Notts County have yet to confirm whether they’ll sell away tickets on the day. Tickets in advance have to be bought through their own ticketing website (you have to register), but they do e-tickets so no need to worry about them not arriving in time through the post. |
