Rod Stewart 80 Today.
at 18:10 11 Jan 2025

It is often said that the words 'World Class' and 'Legend' are over used in football when describing a very talented footballer.

Rod Stewart is a world class legend in music. I am not a great fan but liked his time with The Faces and his early solo albums especially Atlantic Crossing.

He jumped on the bandwagon and recorded his versions of The Great American Song Book with great success. Can't get my head around that one, if you really want to listen to these songs then you don't look past Ella and Frank.

I think the 12:30 kick off will have more affect on us than todays result.

Absolutely tragic. Rest In Peace Andrew.

Be nice if we could organise a round of applause during the 61st minute of the Sheffield Wednesday game.

If Marti really wanted to have a proper go today then he would have made substitutions a lot earlier.

First substitution was not until the 70th minute, all like for like, all about player game time management and likely pre planned with the Performance Department.

and we are just as capable as going on another undeafted run.

There will an inquest and we have a week to sort ourselves out. Sounds like Marti will have to take Ashby out of the firing line.

Onwards and upwards.

The defence has certainly not been tight!

Disappointing but not unexpected especially when you see Madsen in our line up and Leicester fielding a strong team.

Good to read that we were competing well in the first half. I don't think this will affect our League form as Marti and the team will appreciate that there has been individual mistakes costing us the game.

Love instrumental music these days for relaxing, smooth jazz. If you like soul music then it's likely that you will enjoy smooth jazz.

Surprised at the match stats, very even.

Strange game in that we looked the better team overall, had so many chances, but needed a chunk of luck to get the three points.

Need to sort out our defending at set pieces, repeating the same mistakes. Other teams will have picked up on this.

Hoping we can sign another midfielder otherwise Marti will really be managing Colback’s minutes.

Onwards and upwards.

Eased off and too much playing the ball backwards.

Horrible time to concede but we have to remain positive and keep doing what we were doing.

Come on Urrrssss!

Fox had a good game, the majority of our team did, an honest and well spoken interview as well.

As many have said our game changed with the substitutions. Without the silly yellow card does Sam Field stay on? Players have to be rested but the points were in the bag here so should we have kept him on?

Any idea who Nardi was berating after their goal? One of the few shots we didn't manage to block.

I am sure Marti said in an interview a few weeks ago that Colback’s return was delayed by an injury setback.

Afternoon everyone, that lineup does look scary bearing in mind our first half showing at Swansea. Injuries and resting players.

Fair play to Paul Smythe who is becoming an ever present. Marti mentioned a few games ago that he was carrying an injury, whether that is still the case or not I don’t know. But he is playing every game at the moment and looking a threat with his pace 👏

With hindsight it was crazy for JCS to play the full 90 minutes at Preston as the game was basically lost at half time.

''I have my thoughts and I have been having those thoughts for a long time''

All we need to know really. I think at times Marti has been working miracles to put points on the board.

Afternoon everyone, I was going to say I can’t see us coming back from this at 2-0. Real Swansea are tearing us apart, how strange and what a shite Boxing Day.

I didn’t think we were going to do it but this is a huge win for us, huge, as the points were there for the taking.

We didn’t play that well but kept going, battling and got over the line. Great cross from Chair and finish from Jimmy who did so well to be up there in the first place after 90 minutes.

Fingers crossed for Cookie and it is not as bad as we fear.

I think Paal was a little surprised that the ball reached him but nevertheless they kick footballs virtually every day of their lives!!

Referee needs to start booking Preston players for their cynical fouls.

Preston are another bang average Championship side so it is up to us to get at them and get back in the game. Lets do this for our Captain.
