I watched the first half of the Sheff U Leeds game last night. Sheff came flying out the blocks and had a lot of it their way for the first 20 mins before Leeds began to work their way back in.
Missed the 2nd half but wasn't surprised to see Sheff conceded 3 late goals. Last Monday. Sunderland also started well against Leeds, then let them back in, then sat deeper and deeper and finally let 2 late goals in.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Marti can do against Leeds at home in a few weeks. Should be tatsty.
I did it maybe 12 years ago when I spotted that it was Mackie doing it. The regular guides were excellent, Mackie was amazing. He stayed around all night answering questions - nothing was too much trouble. I loved it as did my young son who was around 8 at the time.
The two experiences are very different but I'm glad streams exist as I don't go to many away games and now get to watch a load of them. And tonight I'm in two minds as to whether to go or not as work's very busy. So a stream is a good plan b.
As others have said, at the game you spot all sorts of additional things you just can't get on a stream. That's the main difference from a football perspective. Plus it's obviously such a social thing to do. And goal celebrations in the safe standing area are mental.
I was watching his 1st half performance against Watford. In six attempts he put it out of play five times and passed it to the opposition the other time. All in the space of a few minutes.
In the second half he'd calmed right down - I presume Marti had had a word with him.
At the age of 20 I was listening to a lot of bluesy guitar music. Here's one of my favourite tracks by one of my favourite artists at the time. It actually put me off learning guitar as it was so impossible to imagine myself getting anywhere near being able to play it :-)
