This is my usual route when I drive in for night matches. Can someone remind me of this next time we're at home in the evening. There's no way I'll remember. It could sometimes be busy, but it was never that bad. Just force everyone on to the main roads, that'll make it better. They've done something similar with a road in Hampton, Burtons Road. Nothing allowed down it between 7am and 7pm unless you're a local resident (I live about 300 yards away and don't qualify) Result? Surrounding roads gridlocked during peak times and thousands of fines issued to unsuspecting motorists as the signs are pretty poorly placed. Burtons Road, however, is an oasis of calm
My cousin did that with his then teenage daughter. Still don't think she's talking to him. And they only live in East Acton I left the Brentford 2-2 at 2-0
The irony of complaining it gets policed like the 80's bearing in mind how the away fans are treated at their ground. Also, mate, have you ever wondered why there might be an extra police presence at games involving your fans?
Saw them at Hammersmith Palais in 1994, then at Glastonbury in 1995 and Earls Court about a year later. They were excellent at the Palais, and good at the other two. I'm not overly concerned about seeing them again, but it's a good opportunity for younger fans too see them.
I used to work with a bloke who in the mid 70's was on youth terms at QPR and later made one subs appearance for Cambridge in 1979. Nigel Smith. He was actually terrible at five a side
Would it though Dave? Rangers have improved their gates over the last few years with more young fans turning up. My group is three fifty odd year olds and two in their late twenties. My daughter went to university in Nottingham and met a lad from Acton and his mate who also go regularly. Our away support is increasingly young. I'm hoping it will continue
I think that's clearly what they're trying to do. Make it so bad that we'd all happily accept getting rid of the 3pm blackout so we can all get back to normal. In fairness if they showed live Premier League games at 3pm on a Saturday, none of us would change our habits. We'd still all be at Loftus Road
