With fans with an attitude like this…… is Robbie Cowley really to blame …. I mean fair play if that’s your outlook. But your knowledge of the game must be one up from a cat or dog. Maybe the Chuckle brothers are a good fit for the club… this will be the last I post of forum…. It’s clear that genuine footballing knowledge and debate is long dead

100% you have to give them credit for scoring and the effort to keep going….. but this is really nothing more than papering over the cracks… robbing Peter to pay Paul. The last 2 games have been late equalisers. Until we have a new set up we will not get any better in reality….

The Chuckle brothers live for another pay check …. But this means we are subject to non progressive football by a couple of PE teachers….

Credit for keeping going.. grinding it out… but in reality what are we celebrating

Before everyone moans about the ref…. Another excuse for DC … Taylor’s was a total dive…. He see the player coming and just threw himself…

Better second half needed…

Let’s hope DC the PE teacher has got some inspirational words…

Also after 1 short corner why is the set piece coach not getting one of our players to stand on the closet players toes so it can’t go short.

DC will be very hard to sack…. Will he keep us up ( most probably) will get enough draws to keep us up yes ( will we win 1 in every 8 games ) yes !!!

They really can’t afford to get sacked if they loose this job then they are back to where they should be ( non league ) their footballing career as managers is over.

Also don’t underestimate the amount of fans that genuinely think they’re good and have fallen into the trap of the clapping and playing up to the fans…. Chuckle brothers will be very hard to dismiss from Colchester. Take into account 90% of Colchester fans do not really seem to hold them accountable.

Problem is in their time at the club… DC / NC do not improve players. Forget who they inherited or signed not many players get better under their coaching. Poor old Arthur seems to of gone backwards.

DC is a very very good analyst he is the perfect pundit… he can tell you exactly what’s gone wrong… he just doesn’t know how to fix it. Like most pundits… I wouldn’t put Jamie Garragher in charge of a team and look at Neville’s botch up when he had a go.

DC and NC are stato nerds… I don’t even think when you look at the players reaction to them they even have a great connection with the players… they have only kept and Job as they have kept the fans onside with a clapping lap before and after the game with a Mincy wave to the crowd ( when you pull off our bi monthly win )

If you want a spreadsheet studied or a laptop worked they’re the boys… if you have use your eyes and football brain count them out… get the kit man

Why are we all so down… if this was a league game 1-1 would be a good bet. Everyone wants the chuckle brothers sacked…. But they’re doing nothing diff to when they started… they haven’t got any better or worse… we have just been putting up with it for longer.

They was useless last season and useless this season. They will be useless for their remaining time… hopefully not to long…

Empty vessels make the most noise… DC is a talker…. But doesn’t back it up…

Yes this a problem for Robbie … a big problem. We needed an Ian Holloway type. Just to steady the ship and get the players playing ( if he would take it )

I think we can establish now that the tone with the DC and NC is set…. Just set out for a draw so we can talk crap after the game about how hard we thought and how good the other team was… if we stay up will just be pot luck 2 worse teams are kicking about.

In an ideal world you would like a younger manager with a bit of footballing nouse and just say this is a project. You’re stage one… run with it and see how far we go.

The club was in a pickle before the chuckle brothers took over so this isn’t something that you can pin down to them. They’re just not good enough to solve it or change it. On the face of things this should be well within their grasp.

Has it come a point where the club has a re structure ethos and mind sets change and what ever comes of it ( relegation or promotion so be it )

Is it now a case knock it down and rebuild on your own terms before someone else sends the bulldozers in.

He was that good he would never of seen the first team if we didn’t have a few injuries…. Danny and the team wouldn’t know what a good player was if they jabbed him on the hooter.

We have the same refs and same possibility of injures as anyone… also all these players we keep selling go onto higher level clubs… yet DC couldn’t get a tune out of them….

To be fair to DC he can’t really say I’m a clueless creep that has to lick ass to the fans to keep a job as I have no more idea than a under 15 Saturday kids football coach… it’s going to be the ref or injures….


We don’t even have a system or pattern of play or identity. So 1/2 blokes being injured is rubbish.

The chuckle brothers can’t read a game, hence why so many ducked up subs at funny times… wrong players being pulled off at wrong times…. They’re finished the race is run. Let’s hope Robbie is hunting for a young manager that wants to play a bit of football…

The brothers heart may be in the rite place but they’re shocking. They don’t make the players any better. Their job is to coach players to make them better…. Robbie takes a lot of flack but it’s time the chuckle brothers took it….

We can’t win a game and it’s dull as dishwater… but long as the bothers praise the fans and clap them before and after the game what more do we want?

Thorn did capitalise on huge error from the chesterfield left back and 100% did all he could with the assist. He had a solid game….. I’d not say any Colchester player played excellent in the context of actual football terms.

Our expectations have dwindled so much as a club and fans… anyone with half a yard of pace and any fire in their belly we are calling good now.

I think our version of football must be very different then.

We got the draw but you could hardly say it was even on football terms. We did not look comfortable or good by any stretch of the imagination. Again a points a point will help the cause. But if that the football we will playing then we should bring a pillow when watching.

Good point we will take anything we can get our hands on!! But if that wasn’t national league level I’ll eat my hat. I mean we are inept at keeping the ball, our first touch is in a diff postcode most of the time, we have no build up play or pattern.

If that’s what 8 months of coaching looks like and multiple players that you’ve personally sourced I’d hang my head…

We did get dicked on.. but bottom line is we got the all important point.

This is the past is 100% true… about the running of the club. But the chuckle brothers have been backed…. They can’t always control who is sold but they can who they buy… it’s league 2 pace energy and fitness will get you results… we buy a load of 30+ guys that have played for him before… he doesn’t reward a good performance from a player with more playing time. He takes players off that are running the game.

Guys a talker all that sparkles is not gold. Other clubs sell players… you’re reliant on the manager to Bring in other players…. RC has put his hand in his pocket for these mugs. Only mistake he made was to back the wrong manager.

You need a footballing man In charge one the board back. Garner made more of an impression of phases of play and football set up than the pe teachers have in nearly a year…. The writing was on the wall early on for dc and nc. They have brung nothing to the club from day one … but lack of knowledge and excuses. They change the team every week. They make stupid subs. They take players in form and manage to take them out of form… Robbie has backed these guys too.

We don’t need a PE teacher obsessed with sill stats and laptops… just a guy that knows how to gel a team of 15 blokes, his strongest team and half an idea how to get the best out of them..

This is what happens you put a PE Teacher that talks Bullshit in charge… To rub salt into the wounds we had Garner who knew his football and RC never backed him…. We got 2 grade a clowns and he gone above and beyond. Has any other manager been allowed to make so many transfers / signings as the chuckle brothers…. This is on their laps….

I’ve been quiet about this as it’s just a matter of time and I sound like a broken record but boys this was easy to see how we finished last season.

Smaller pitch would help up. We hardly try and play football. Will help our cause long term. Will stifle teams that can play football. Gives them a lot less space to pass and move. Also saves most of the old boys on our team running to much.

All in all we should end up with more draws… but points make prizes.
