Well let's see what happens on Saturday. Either way Wigan winning it doesn't inspire you or the players or the club or the owner or even the FA. I bet every Wigan fan willl remember that till they die. I understand that the clubs are a business but what is the point if its just to run at a loss and try stay where you are.. The year the mighty Wigan won the FA cup and then played in Europe!!!! I can only imagine seeing rangers play in Europe. Tamworth got pride out of that the fans will be back on a rainy night watching them because of days like that. If you don't understand that then why do you bother going ??? [Post edited 13 Jan 13:15]

This to quote Clive ''Championship, as close to the play-offs as the bottom three, then I’d rather us rest players for a league game and go hell-for-leather to try and provide excitement and joy to a support base now ‘celebrating’ a decade of uninterrupted away league games in Preston Also the bit about if we lose to the Brentford slaying mighty Plymouth MC could be in for some stick. Know QPR that's what will happen [Post edited 13 Jan 13:08]

Well we might lose away to them. Which is more likely now. They will be full of confidence after their win and we will be down after that smashing. It has to have an effect [Post edited 13 Jan 11:45]

Nonsense, Tamworth, Doncaster showed how it should be done and what it means to them and their fans. Your attitude of its a meaningless comparison is wrong. You think the fans of Tamworth, Doncaster ect walked away feeling proud of their team ?? Tamworth should have ⁶ won. They were playing against Premier players. You miss the whole point of the FA cup, its lure, it attraction. The FA cup is what is right with football today the attitude of some of the clubs and players is what is wrong. As one if the 4500 that went up there to play spot the ball in the fog, I expected more and we deserved better. [Post edited 13 Jan 11:16]

Right just to put this FA cup issue to bed. I have just watched a team of part timers in Tamworth hold and almost last minute nick a winner. A club massively ahead of them in terms of everything. Why could we not hold our own against what was not a great see you next year Leicester????!!!! One of the Tamworth players was injured at work by stepping on a nail. Sorry just don't buy the bull as regards weaker team. Why are spurs nit 6 nil up ?? Next year a proper cup run end of it should be a priority success build success just look at Leicester... Come on the Tamworth ... |

Look its the bloody FA cup. You have got to try more than that. Having been one of the 4500, we deserved more. If we were wining more we would have that support all the time they were great. We would pack the grounds on a decent cup run it would be amazing imagin a 6th round tie. You got to try else whats the point. Look at Leicester they have beem champions and fa cup winners and there support was shite. Need to do better MC hope this doesn't end in a form dip . Don't chamge a winning team |

To quote Clive " just one day" I hope rangers play a full team and go for them. If it doesn't work and we are losing sub them and give them a rest. Me and my boys will be 3 of the 4500 that would appreciate that. Also did you notice Clive rubbing eyes at the stress amd pain caused by the burden of following a nutty club like rangers . Ahhhhh such fun, let's hope for a barnstorming performance from QPR A close game leading to a nail biting penatly shoot out .... we might sneak it. |

The 3 nil at yeovil. Went there for that was that a decent cup year for us ?? Now that brings back a memory. Sloped pitch banister I think. See we can beat the smaller clubs in a cup. Was the arsenal at home in the rain a shock?? So away from home is very few over 4o years ? [Post edited 9 Jan 17:52]

Right I forthwith register my resignation from ever starting a match thread. Clearly my fault not the shite performance by the players. I do worry that the drums are beating for MC. He needs to adapt and inject more impetus into the team. I Hooe the fan base don't turn on him as he is one of the best we have had in a while. Give it time it will click Hull under the lights might see chair back plus the winning ways. |

To add to the overflowing optimism as regards the quality and result of the game. A useless fact Gareth Ainsworth was born in Blackburn could that be an omen of a hoof ball special coming up |

Right few beers in,and got work tomorrow. No one seems to have done a thread on this 12.30 atmosphere killing TV is ruining football kick off time. My hat, coat and scarf off to those making the trip. Well done you Hardy bunch. Can't see getting much from this would be happy with another draw, which would be a decent point the way rovers are playing. But as I have started my first thread without doubt putting the mockers on it. Probably a spanking on the way. We'll certainly if they play like they did against Millwall. Either way 1-2 to the mighty rangers ....... beer does help doesn't it |

This with outdoubt. I actually worry that I bring my children ie will they ever see a big win, mocked at school by the fake mob, but big wins are relative. The ground is QPR its a real ground how it was and how it should be. Close to the action. A great atmosphere when it gets going. Also a real link to when football used to be more of the working man's game less money orientated, more in common with the players (who seemed more loyal and linked to the club) they were on more of a relative wage with everyone else. Maybe it my age and I have the rose tinted glasses on. Don't know but Loftus Road is a diamond (very rough one admittedly) but it shines brighter than any overated new flat pack bland ground. It's the artful dodger of grounds, street wise full of character and an absolute chancer. Occasionally we meet an oliver of a team and we teach them a lesson of life (leeds under the lights ) . Well back to the tablets ..... not sure the oliver twist analogy works but you.might see my general weird point. [Post edited 27 Sep 2024 19:58]

"God forbid a cup tie break out and tire the poor loves, but here it was in all its raw glory." Almost verbatim on what I said when we scored and it almost did.... been a while I like cup runs .... I also hate short corners... |

What really really hacks me off Is the oft hand comment from a palace supporting friend of mine "Btw, good try qpr" Facking irritating and how times have changed !! We need to have teams not want to get us in the Cup not want to come to Loftus Road to worry about it not to even want to get us at their place. Make any game especially a cup game an awkward difficult tie. Make a groan come out when they have to come down the bush. Nice Try !!!....... He got a sprightly reply .... we can't allow teams like palace to get so arrogant Also an ex ranger who we had to sell was the only reason they won that ... I like cup runs [Post edited 19 Sep 2024 13:20]

Got to agree they were for the taking tonight. Just think what a victory over a Premier team would do for morale..I enjoyed it tonight haven't been to a cup game in years. We now be watching to see who palace get in next round. Shame I always enjoyed a decent cup.run. should have played frey. They got lucky with that deflection and Alfie should have scored his chance. Also would.have preferred a.win tonight than Saturday . I know we need points and yes we.could.get a big club and get smashed but as a.fan cup.runs are great to follow. [Post edited 18 Sep 2024 7:59]
