Great interview, credit to JCS for that, makes the defeat just very slightly easier to take.

A bit of perspective please!
at 10:18 12 Jan 2025

Perfectly put and my points exactly. Huge Marti fan also and today won’t change that but feel lied to with regards how seriously we were taking the cup. A win today continues the momentum, brings revenue in the next round and we would been 3 wins away from Wembley but we threw it away to prepare for bottom of the league Plymouth in a weeks time.

Effect on Team Form - Momentum Changer !!
at 19:42 11 Jan 2025

Big Marti fan but feel let down today. Making 6 changes when there was a really good chance of a win against a side badly out of form is unacceptable and contradicts Marti’s pre match press conference. This match is as just as important as the remaining leagues matches so found it a little disrespectful to the cup and the 4.5k away fans to play such a weakened team. To reiterate I’m a huge Marti fan but he shouldn’t avoid criticism when it is due.

Marti on Leceister in the FA Cup

Plenty on social media, was ridiculous considering the injuries and time for new players to adapt to The Championship, those fans have disappeared and are very unlikely to admit it now.

Frey

Lack of lace and fitness concerns for me over Frey. Kev Gallen summed it up perfectly when he described Frey as a third choice striker who you chuck on when needing a goal, not a starter.

Play your best side, this is the FA Cup! I wouldn’t make any changes unless injuries and don’t expect Marti to either. We have a whole week to recover before Plymouth.

Fair and very honest. Quite rare to get a Manager admit the opposition deserved a point when we conceded so late on. Refreshing to hear.

Well done Marti and good point on the road.

Makes the decision not to sign Isaac the right one. Younger, with more sell-on value and looking like he will turn into a better player. I assume on a far lower salary as well.

Where are the "Nourry out" comments now ???
at 18:06 22 Dec 2024

It was too early to judge Nourry and still is, typical of fans in general to be so reactionary. The reality is the new signings have really started to settle in and for all the criticism aimed at Nourry for the awful start then being fair deserves some credit for a turn around, and that in general the signings are starting to look fairly good, with some exceptions.

Still a very odd decision to start with just 2 seniors Forwards with 1 Championship goal between them, would like to hear an explanation of how that happened.

Let’s judge Nourry end of the season.

Thorpe + Rosenoir on Brizzle game

I thought we incredibly poor first half not a great deal better second. As I live nearby I know a lot of Bristol C fans and generally they were shocked how bad we were considering our from.

I think (hope) the Wed match and then playing 12.30 on Saturday had a big influence. Hope so because that first half was one of the worst I can remember, no shots on or off target and 27% possession against a very average Championship side.

Personal match records?
at 20:34 15 Dec 2024

Weirdly I’ve been to the Hawthorns twice and nearly matched you, saw the 3v3 and the 4v1 win when we were in the Prem, so 11 goals in 2 games.

Personal match records?
at 10:11 15 Dec 2024

I wonder if anyone else keeps personal match records. I now attend around 8-12 QPR matches a season, mainly due to where I live and having a busy family. I’ve kept a written record of every match I’ve been to (a bit sad I admit). This has resulted in a few unusual personal results records, the highlight being that I’ve now watched QPR at Ashton Gate 8 times and never seen us lose! (6 draws, 2 wins).

Not such a good record is never seen us score at Cov’s new stadium despite being to 3 matches.

I’ve started taking my son in the last few years and although he is pretty unlucky when we go to Loftus Rd has a remarkable away record of W6 D6 L1 (lost his unbeaten record at Derby)

Any other odd personal records?

Just back!

It’s great being local, not sure I’ve ever seen QPR live and been home for 15.30!

Utterly dreadful first half, as bad as Oxford. Improved in the second half, Lloyd made a difference.City must be really upset they didn’t win that.

Great goal from Smyth and brilliant week results wise if not performances. Bigger picture is a little worrying as we can’t play like we did for most of City and Oxford match and expect to beat any side.

QPR v Bristol City match thread
at 18:34 13 Dec 2024

This is the big one for me, effectively my local derby being born and bred just down the road. If I could pick one match to win every season this would be it.

Cant say I’m overly confident, feel our recent results have outweighed our performances and starting with either Kolli who has been unwell or Lloyd as only Striker is ridiculous.

…I’ll take a point and move on!

I thought the same, possibly worst performance I’ve ever seen at this level. Not sure how they have amassed the points they have so far this season, surely going down.

I’m a bit of a burger connoisseur, Honest burger is very, very good. The best I’ve tried are Beefy Boys but they are based in Hereford with only a a few branches over in this direction.

Willock?
at 18:47 28 Nov 2024

Thoroughly enjoyed the Willock, Willock what’s the score chants at the end, great stuff.

Offered a contract but made the decision to go to a rival club, at times his attitude when at Rangers was questionable. Looking at his performance last night and that he can’t get in the Cardiff side I’d say good riddance.
