Coming up from Buckinghamshire for the game so hoping it's on! The rain is forecast to clear in the morning, so hopefully they will leave the covers on until the rain clears and the pitch will be playable.
For the first time in weeks we haven't really talked about the keeper's performance today. I hope Eastwood is nowhere near the starting lineup again this season
First half looked OK in possession and some good deliveries into the box but no clear cut chances.
2nd half we couldn't really get anything going, it was scrappy with loads of stoppages and their awful time-wasting. Again no real chances apart from a sitter from Ball at the end. Ref was shocking all game for both sides.
It's obvious how much we're reliant on Quigley. Without him we don't have an out and out striker, no one making runs into the box. Even towards the end of the game there was no urgency to get it forward cause there was no one to aim for. Was hoping for more from Hendo but he had a quiet game. Defensively fine but lightweight in midfield. Ball is short of confidence, couldn't seem to find a pass and I don't think Rodney beat his man all match.
At least we've got a break from the league next week and then two home games to try and get things back on track. Up the Dale
Don't post on here much but it's a big one tonight.
My Dad and I would normally go to AFC Wimbledon as we're local and we're gutted to not be able to visit their new ground, but we will both be watching on iFollow to cheer on the boys. Whatever happens this season I'm just hoping that we give everything for these last 3 games and give ourselves every chance of staying up, however slim.
Come on Dale go after them, attack attack attack, AFC Wimbledon are nothing special despite their recent form. This season has been shocking but we have shown that on our day we can compete and give a good account of ourselves. That is all that the fans can expect at this stage. Up the Dale.
