Jesus. I have a young lad at home, I'm constantly telling him the shit on the internet isn't real.
We can all banter, pompey fans come on here and give it and take it, which makes me chuckle, but this kind of crap ... wow.

Agree, I hate the BBC and the news is awful. The day of the earthquake in Myanmar sums them up, they were saying "oh there has been an earthquake" whilst showing a video from a street with zero impact and then said "looks like it's all fine though, all the buildings look okay"
A few hours later we see the real horror. Nah, fk them, awful channel - I'd love to not may a license fee. |

I hear you! That's another reason for not going - last time I saw him play football was against Arsenal in the last match at the Dell. THAT is my lasting memory. I don't want to watch him on a pitch now, nor hear random views and swearing. |

I watched his announcement last night as GB News were showing it in full, live - which the other news channels weren't. I flick through all the news channels, no bias, just whatever has ACTUAL news on at the time (i.e. I don't mean guests squabbling, or silly magazine articles).
Anyway, Trump was ridiculous, just 10 mins or so of complete crap, if you can find it, watch it. I would be so embarrassed if I were American. From what I can remember is him waffling "there will be jobs, good, many jobs, we will build the factory, many jobs, good jobs, we will build the cars, good American jobs, we will give some tax back on the purchase of an American made car, there will be good job, many jobs" etc etc etc

Again to agree with Frannie, it just shows that football is broken (further) more than anything else.

Yeah, dull as ditchwater. When I watch TV I want to properly escape and watch crap - or as someone mentioned Slow Horses type thing, not too serious, good fun, good acting.
Like Franniestache I've started reading more again too. Glass of wine and some autobiography and I'm sorted.
My wife and I have about 1.5 hours in the evening where we turn off and it's mostly some tripe TV and then a read. I agree that I've missed reading too - definitely relaxing with no noise.
But then I hate noise. I think I'm getting old, haha. |

It has come to a point where it would be better to pay his contract up and let him move on to something else. He could coach, or do punditry, whatever, but he's not playing first team football in the top 2 or 3 divisions again.
