I forgot Ramsdale.
He's too good to be playing for us & he won't be for much longer.
But playing for us & having so much to do & so many brilliant saves he's made has probably raised his profile, more so than sitting on the bench at Arsenal, I think that is exactly what he thought when he signed for us. |

Not sure why there was all this hype about Ross Stewart , when we signed him he hadn't played for 9 months.
Apart from two games for Scottish National team the highest level he'd ever played at was our Lge 1.
Scoring goals in that league doesn't translate to playing & scoring goals in Premier lge.
Even if he'd been fit all this time he would not have got regular games in our very poor team. ( not even at ctr back).
He's history & another example of how badly the club has wasted millions of £'s. |

It's not the players that we didn't sign that bothers me, it's the ones that we did sign.
We've not signed one player in the last couple of seasons that's improved our side.
Most of the players we've signed cannot even get games at the moment.
Fernández is probably our best signing but is he genuinely better than Chalie Alcaraz or Stuart Armstrong ?. |

Fatigue ?.
He'd only been playing for 12 minutes on Saturday, if he's fatigued after 12 minutes then there's something seriously wrong with the training regime.
It's attitude, not fatigue. |

I agree with you're comments about Harwood Bellis, he's struggled this season.
I know he's still fairly young but he's pretty experienced & should be developing better than he is,.
Isn't it strange that when we're doing well we don't get many injuries but when we're struggling everyone is getting injured.
The hunger & desire to play has gone, they know that they'll still be picking up their usual high salaries. [Post edited 24 Feb 20:52]

Nothing wrong with Old School.
Get back to basics, keep it simple.
We know with our squad we ain't going to win games but just try & make a game of it.
What I saw on Saturday with Aribo & Bree attempting to play at ctr back was laughable (Sunday morning pub team stuff).
Also having such a poor defence we need more bodies in midfield to stop the opposition getting at our back four.
There you go, simplicity itself. |

I hate to say it but Slack Jack is likely to be back for the Chelsea match.
We all know how poor he is but with all the injuries we have he's probably our best ctr back at the moment (God help us).
Play him alongside ABK, we just can't continue trying to convert both Bree & Aribo into Ctr Backs, neither of them are suitable to play that position, in fact neither them are good enough to play any position in Premier Lge .
Stick to just 4 across the back & 4 in midfield with Tall Paul & KS up front.
Whatever team we send out will not get a result but we could restore a bit of credibility.

That's obviously the plan.
I don't have a problem with that.
When you consider the level of players that we'll be relying on next season then I think Simon Rusk if not exciting is adequate.
We are now a club lacking in funds & ambition so you cut your cloth to suit. |

I've given up my Season Ticket.
WHY, because when I got home from matches my wife would ask me if I enjoyed it & I'd say NO it was Crap.
She said so why do you keep going to which I answered because I've got a season ticket.
Also the expectation of the next game being better than the last game kept me motivated, but the next game was never any better.
That is when I decided enough was enough, stop wasting money on something I don't enjoy watching.
Plus all the aggravation of getting there, getting home & on one occasion getting punched by an opposing supporter outside the ground, I am still & will always be an ardent supporter of the club but my days of wasting time & money are finished.
Just so glad that I haven't been going this season but I applaud those that do.
But I do think that a large contingent of the crowd are just there for social reasons & not for the football.
Football has changed both on the pitch & off the pitch, but not for the better. |

A tradesman is only as good as tools he has to work with, likewise a Manager is only as good as the players he has.
Unfortunately we currently don't have enough Premier lge players to survive.
But after watching Leicester last night, despite us being below them in the lge I think they are worst than we are.
Jamie Vardy at 38 years old was their only spark, he'd look good in our side. |

What an exciting combination that would be, but we mustn't dwell it what could have been, we have accept what we've got & where we are thanks to SR.
They made money on Charley as they will with Fernández just a shame that they've wasted so many millions on other rubbish coaches & players.

It's surprising that so many are still turning up week after week to watch the worst Saints team that I can remember.
Alright you expect a good crowd for a so called local Derby against high flying Bournemouth but there are regularly near capacity crowds for all of our home games.
If only the Owners, Coaches & Players showed such resilience & commitment.

He always appears to struggle physically against bigger, stronger & technically better players in Premier lge. Basically like most of our squad he's a Championship player. |

Surprising the difference it can make to a player when the mamager has faith in them & gives them game time.
I would just like to see Bella Kotchap given some game time, I think he could be the best ctr back we have & we don't use him.
We'll never know how good he could be if he's not given game time.
I've not been impressed with THB this season, he looks out of his depth in Premier lge, too many mistakes & regularly out of position.
I know he's still quite young & should get better with age. (they say that about wine but it never does). |

I agree with this post.
RM had created a lazy, easy going mentality within the club, that is going to take a while to recover from.
And we need to clear out the lazy, non committed players who were guaranteed games with RM in charge.
It doesn't take long to destroy a club but it'll take an age to recover from it.
I just hope Ivan Juric is able to restore just little bit of pride & winning mentality into what is a very, very poor squad of players.
Unfortunately I don't think it will happen whilst SR own the club. |

I'm not saying that Juric is not part of the problem, but he's on a hiding to nothing (& so would any other coaches be) trying to get results with a bunch of non committed, inadequate players.
With the exception of Ramsdale & possibly Fernández none of the other players would get regular games at any other Premier lge club.
Some would struggle to get regular games in the Championship.
It's without any doubt the worst squad of players that I can personally remember playing for the club.
Sad to say that under the ownership of SR our Club has lost its identity & it's credibility & we're about to lose our Premiership status again.
I've got fed up with saying it, SR are not interested in winning football matches for our club as long as their group of investments are making money. [Post edited 10 Feb 12:16]

I'm not going to jump on the "get Juric out" bandwagon yet.
He's having to work with a bunch of players that just aren't good enough & some with bad " don't want to be here" attitudes.
There's not a Manager/ Coach on the Planet that could get results with this squad. [Post edited 9 Feb 13:10]
