I'm sick of being part of this corrupt organisation, the issue we have is to get this type of venture off the ground, it needs a driving force, a true driving force to get clubs off this EFL teat even though it harms them. It's like trying to get an abuse victim out of an abusive relationship, to all the world outside it seems an easy question - just get out, but to the victim it is nearly impossible to see the woods for the trees.
Maybe that would lead to a breakup of the leagues? Can we see a day when the Premier L morphs into the "super league" and the remaining league reforms itself? I am at a loss how football can move forward financially but it is grinding clubs like Dale into oblivion in it's current form.
Meaning if you want to stay on the merry-go-round, you gotta put more and more money in therefore taking bigger and bigger risks.
To be fair Klopp has a point IMHO. If we are relying on replays for small clubs as a financial lifeline then something with the structure is totally wrong - it's a professional league system, not the Hungar Games!!
I get DA's point about the attraction of getting a game to visit those stadia etc. but I honestly think those clubs are gonna be gone to a Super League soon so it could be a moot point.
Something has to give sooner or later as the current financial status of professional football is untenable.
