Another two-year deal. Never really impressed me tbh, Jim seems to rate him though! [Post edited 6 Jun 13:03]

New two-year contract! Has his doubters but I think this is a great bit of business for stability. |

Presumably announced at 1? Starting to worry about the lack of contract extensions... |

In a lot of ways I agree with you. £500 on something we might lose is frivolous, unless they're confident it will be overturned - if it is, that £500 could then be considered an (attempted) investment in bringing in more money for the club. Let's face it, it was a diabolical decision and 100% should be overturned (IMO). I still doubt it will. [Post edited 3 Apr 15:03]

If it were to be overturned, Mitchell helped us win games that he otherwise would have missed, we move a place or two higher and, as a result, earned more in competition money for being better placed in the league, would it then be money wasted? |

Is it just me that genuinely can't see anything wrong with the Mitchell tackle? Gets the ball, in control, one leg, on the floor - what a challenge! It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't overturn it though, they'll always back the referee won't they. |

Probably the most flat I've felt after a win - how we won it, I will never know. I love Jim, I don't want to question his position but if (as he seems to have shown) he can't adapt, what choice will we have? Passes weren't finding our own players, most were aimless and we didn't appear to have a plan. Yes we won, but keep playing like that and we will be fully mired in a relegation battle. Woking were a proper vile little team weren't they, dirty fouls but dropping like flies over nothing. Two great goals though! |

I think he got the tactics spot on - I criticised him for changing what didn't need changing against Solihull but this was something a bit different. We invited the press and they played into our hands but the little balls over it by Brooks into midfield were used really well. No faffing, just useful passes into space to set us on the front foot. Interesting that Brooks seemed keen to pass out wide with his short passes rather than to EEL or Nevett which seemed to give us more impetus. |

The thing that annoyed me most was the HT tactical changes: the first half was a different, quicker approach, spreading the play and widening the pitch. Balls were played in behind the defence for Jez to chase (which he did far more effectively than usual) and we got the ball into the box and dangerous areas. This stifled Solihull to some extent and kept us in the game. 2nd half, we inexplicably reverted to type and played crap, created nothing with the usual slow, aimless passing. Wide players weren't used and the midfield was overrun. Why did Jim change something that was working fine? |

*Obviously it doesn't apply to us anyway. Hinted at by a brilliant tweet from the official account... We've only gone and re-signed Cian Hayes! [Post edited 1 Feb 16:02]

Does anyone know the rules and regs for the NL regarding postponements due to insufficient number of players? Surely we can't be far off... I've found this for the premier league: Squad impact 6. Subject to paragraph 13, below, permission to postpone a League Match will only be considered where the applicant Club has either: a. Fewer than 10 outfield Players and one goalkeeper from those Players listed on its Squad List (‘Squad List Players’), available to participate in the League Match; or b. Fewer than 15 available outfield Contract Players and one goalkeeper who is a Contract Player, available to participate in the League Match. |

I'd be amazed if it's Eastwood. He wasn't a McNulty signing last time and he never showed anything with his feet |

My Dad went in a few weeks ago to buy the entire family new shirts for Christmas (sizes S-L), only to be told they had none left, with no intention of getting another delivery till February... |

Could easily be a contract extension - gif they've shared on twitter says 'Pace' so it's not EEL! Cian Hayes on loan from Fleetwood. One month deal. [Post edited 5 Oct 2023 15:02]
