An excellent enjoyable win against another play off seeking team. Looking forward When we played Burnley away we defended well had a couple of half chances and lost to a very dubious last minute penalty. Leeds at home we deserved at least a draw but went a bit gung ho and again lost in the last minute. We can survive against them...
I have been a season ticket holder since the early seventies from the dark days to the glory days of recent years and back. Its in my blood. I rarely miss home or away games mainly because of the camaraderie. The football played in the last5 few years has been boring to be honest the only bonus when RM was manager was the record against CCFC. There was hope under MD for a month or so and then LW gave us the we will be a fortress ay home blah blah speech all the while playing boring possession behind the half way line football. No wonder the fan base has voted to stay away. The last 2 home games have been a breath of fresh air the fans that turned up have made some noise and the players seem to be enjoying their football again. Word of mouth and social media will get fans back again if the entertainment is there. Remember the old days when we were asked to bring a friend?
Seems only just over 100 tickets sold to away fans for this long Tuesday night trek up north. If it had been the Saturday there would have been hundreds up there with some spending the weekend in Blackpool no doubt. Still if we continue as we did on Saturday against Blackburn we can make it 2 games without defeat surely. Swans to win 2 nil.
Give AS the job for a few weeks to see if Saturday was just a one off feel good factor game. Watching that game was like a breath of fresh air and it felt like a brand new team with no shackles holding them back...even the sun was shining.
Enough is enough. Last Saturdays non match nearly completely spoilt an otherwise good day trip. LW should walk but managers always seem to be paid good money for failure. Put him on gardening leave. Put Sheean and Joe in charge and see if they can get the players to play proper football again asap
The should he go or should he stay votes over the last few weeks especially after the WBA debacle have now become a HE MUST GO vote speaking to other fans over the weekend not one said that he should be given more time. I think he has lost the dressing room big time. His tactics are devoid of any ideas or changes or pace for that matter. Blame for each defeat is never his always the players. Perhaps the players should stand up and be counted. Tomorrow night could be toxic unfortunately but perhaps AC will see what the fans are thinking. Fingers crossed
The only good thing about last night was the pre match meal with my wife....after Sundays great lucky win I thought we were on the up again but I was so wrong. The slow sideways passing a la Grimes was back and it seemed that only Ronald and O'Brien seemed to have any forward thinking passion in them. Service to Vipotnik was very poor and yet he is a scapegoat and was replaced by Bianchini. Why not keep both on the pitch...... LW scurrying down the tunnel at full time was pathetic. Why doesnt he just bite the bullet and walk? Unfortunately football managers always seem to wait for a pay off for failure.
i think part of the problem with us is that our home games have become boring and very repetitive. Very little goalmouth action and pace from our players. Slow slow football . Perhaps now that our tactics have got to change as MG has left support will increase a bit
10 points as long as we play like we did in the second half yesterday...fighting spirit none of the namby pamby slow sideways backwards stuff we have been seeing recently
50 points should keep us safe. Start Sunday in a game which means that we are underdogs. Lets upset the applecart as so many teams do and have done to us over the years. We have not won in 6 games so that record must be broken then
Believe it or not we have sold over 1800 tickets so far even though we are playing #### Perhaps its the early ko or the train ride or maybe belief that we must be a better team than shown before the turn of the year.
That was a painful watch on Saturday yet again,. Slow slow stop backwards and repeat. Has LW lost the players? I think so. Can the same players play better? Yes.
At the end of that game yesterday a couple of the players not all and the manager ventured towards us fans but not too close clapping us as they do some had claps back but there were many who shouted abuse or whatever in their direction....they soon rushed off to the dressing room and safety. Hull was a poor performance....Portsmouth slightly worse but last nights? If LW has lost the players why doesnt he resign? No chance of that though there is money at stake here.
agree Onehunglow....a chance to make some money for the coffers and perhaps get a televised home draw against one of the big boys in the next round ...if we put out a strong side though otherwise a defeat.
just read somewhere that Southampton have only sold about 10000 tickets for the match including approx 600 to us. They have moved our fans to the other side of the ground and are closing one stand for the game. Should be a cracking atmosphere....not
What is it with Sky and the football league? Lets have a look at the fixture lists and pick the awkward long ones for early or late kick offs. The ones where you can catch a train to the game but sorry there are no trains for the return journey. For us on Saturday in particular its black friday weekend so numbers will be down anyway. Leaving Swansea at 4am on Saturday should mean we will miss much of the holiday traffic on the way up at least. A comfortable win for us should make the trip more enjoyable so please Swans turn up!!!
