Not taking sides and yes he was subbed at 57 minutes, but I think Mr Elbow has a valid thread.. I wonder if we all had our names on the back of our shirts at the next game what would happen🥳 |

I get where you are coming from Mr Elbow, I think Illias not playing yet to his high standards and that not killing our creativity is a positive. He is obviously not 100% yet and don’t think has scored a goal. The best is yet to come, valid point though and because of who he is and what he has done I understand why you bring it up…. Kept he faith |

We go on about strikers hitting double figures whereas we must have double figures in scorers. Off the top of my head ( not Jimmy’s) Paal, Fox, Dunne, Field, Varane, Morgan, Smyth, Saito, Lloyd, Celar Kolli, Madsen and Frey have hit the back of the net. Our non reliance on Illias is welcome as he is still on a duck ( I think) as is the skipper.. Says a lot about Marti Ball. All we need is Nardi up for a corner or taking a penalty. Would take this any day rather than rely on one or two. Forgot Dembele [Post edited 22 Jan 10:37]

Suspect we won’t be signing any of the keepers. The whole diving out of the way thing I don’t get. |

Am I the only one looking at results and trying to work what is best? For example Portsmouth win yesterday and me thinking this is good as keeps us 6 points from playoffs and crazily being pleased Leeds beat Wednesday for the same reason. I am a logical person ( ex banker) surely I should be looking the other way. Is this what happens when you are mid-table? I am confused being in this new world. |

Obviously a great read and you can feel the excitement with the contract extensions. I know Nourry gets stick but f you use the adage it’s not what I say it’s what I do he is doing well. Thinking 1st transfer window when he got Hayden and Anderson in, last window, Edwards on day one and now this is a continuation. Big game today, wish I was there |

Not read the whole thread but I would rather be where we are now with Nourry at the helm than what came before. Yes we can go on about his communication style and being a posh boy ( what relevance that is I don’t know) but this week with who has extended their contracts makes me think I don’t care about that. Be careful what we wish for, remembering Clive’s Leicester write up. |

I agree with Mr Elbow here. Personally I can see a strategy that is happyr relatively quickly. |

Still a strong team we have put out, real test for Madsen. Interested in fact that Anderson not mentioned in Marti interview or Clive on injury list but nowhere to be seen. I’m assuming he is crocked. |

Agree, when did you last predict a win? Is this a New Years resolution to be less QPR and more positive? Great report [Post edited 11 Jan 9:06]

My mate ( a Watford fan) thought he was best passer on the park when we played at theirs. Makes me think there is a place for someone who makes the ball do the work. |

What’s his goals per game ratio this season? Must be a nightmare for defenders to have him and Jimmy in the box. If he stays fit he will score double figures this season, how many recent forwards could we say that about. It’s been mentioned already but that pass to Smyth was a preach I was right behind it,the arc and bend was perfect. You do wonder whether he would be even better with 2 up front. |

Potentially agree unless Larkeche close, though Morgan Fox has spent as much of his career there as CB and he is not exactly letting us down. I could understand if we go for no one unless someone gets a bad injury. That’s potentially a great position to be in. Going to be interesting when ( and if) we have a full fit squad |

Agree and nice to have the options. I look at whose out injured ( Cook, Morrison, Dembele, Anderson, Celar and Larkeche) makes me think our squad is stronger than we have had for some seasons. I’m bound to be wrong but the team almost picks itself this week after a rest. So on the bench could be Walsh, Kolli, Fox, Ashby, Madsen, Kaito, EDB, Colback and Bennie… again options. I’m assuming Edwards starts alongside JCS but even if same back 4 as the other night we still have options. Going for a win, Smyth to terrorise, Frey to bully, 3-1 ( scarily positive) |

Great report, maybe just the hoops in me but I think we are on the way to producing a good team. It’s a journey and we could be going a bit quicker now than expected. It’s interesting on the goals scored stats as I would rather share the spoils than be reliant on one. Great report ( wanna say it again), Clive |

Agree but where he was and where he is are miles apart. Colback has 12 odd years on him with experience of Prem etc so logically you would expect him to be wiser, but next season Varane will be 1st choice after one season in the Championship. I never appreciated how hard it is for players to adjust to this league. I also remember when he was interviewed he admitted he isn’t the best at getting the ball between the posts, hence the deeper role methinks. Upgrade on Dozzell is an understatement, you and I would have been that. |
