Contracts on 15:14 - Mar 25 by ChaffRAFC | Personally, at this moment in time I'd look to offer contracts to: Andrew Tutte (expect to leave) Ashley Grimes (expect to leave) Jason Kennedy (expect to leave) Rhys Bennett Phil Edwards Ian Henderson Reece Gray Michael Rose Peter Cavanagh Maybe 6 month deals to: Ritchie Jones Joe Rafferty Andy Haworth |
I guess contracts will be offered as much on personality as ability.

If Keith Hill stays I'd fully expect Kennedy to stay too. If he wanted to leave, and get Dale some sort of funds in the process, he could have left in January. Cant really argue with the rest, aside from I'd get rid of Jones.

Not sure what ritchie jones has done to earn a 6 month contract, in the two games i've seen him, hes mainly been poor.

Agree with that with the exceptions of Grimes, Jones, and Haworth.

Basically because he's a good player. He's not played a lot of football and hadn't before joining us so has struggled for match fitness. Don't see any harm in offering him a 6 month deal. It's only like what Hill did originally.
| If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor |

I'd hope you are right about Kennedy. But another scenario is that if he has an offer an the end of the season from, say, Bradford, he (or more likely his agent) would argue that as he is going on a 'free' the club could pay him a higher wage. Or he could see what offers came in, and take the best. This is the reasoning behind wanting Rotherham to sign Grimes in January.
