Steve Garner wasn't in charge at the time these complaints were made, he has only been in post three years. Stranglers, it was mainly 'do-gooders' making these complaints to no avail.

How many on here , socialise with Asians? And if u dont, Why do you not socialise with members of the asian community?
Will anyone has the guts to say, its because both communites are so different and diverse, that they may just have nothing in common, and do not want to integrate?

Yes I have and current do work with people of Asian descent. I also know people of Asian descent fairly well. Like 'white' people, most of them are friendly, nice people and just want to get on living their lives.
To me the problem is the 'do gooders' who like to create special groups who have to be treated differently and without reproach. I suppose it helps to make them feel important? | | | |

I was brought up in Rochdale until i was 12 and visit regularly as still have family living in the town.
I remember in about 1980 ,John Cravens Newsround doing a piece at my school(Matthew Moss) about creating prayer rooms for the Asian community .
At the time this meant nothing to me but as time has passed it shows me that we have accomodated different beliefs .
What im trying to say is that i dont think the Asian community in Rochdale has ever really integrated,difference and diversity should have been overcome in 40 years.

You are right,many people have forged in to the British mentality,but most Asians havent.
Doctors/dentists re different than-fast food gear as one pays in to the system and and one doesnt. | |
