End of season special ticket offers were are they??? on 17:25 - Mar 30 by dalenumber2 | In spite of him raising his financial problems on here, is it really any of our/your business how he paid for the trip? I don't envy him one bit for being on benefit and it doesn't even cross my mind that I am working to subside his 'wonderful' lifestyle. I would hate to be in his boat actually. It's obvious that many on here don't know the guy, what he is like, and his situation. and if they did they might not be so harsh. |
Some of the comments have been OTT, but he has accused the club this week of profiteering from supporters and setting unfair season ticket rates that are unaffordable. It has been suggested that in his position he could consider one of the cheaper season tickets (eg in the sandy), consider the excellent game by game PTL where the club do their bit to those unlucky enough to be without a job or consider a Goldbond scheme where he can get a hugely reduced season ticket whilst benefitting the club. It seems these have been ignored whilst the temerity of the club to not increase season tickets continues.

Yes admittedly people (myself included) have gone too far and normally i tend to stay quiet with most things tazzy related. But the latest Tazzy episode, which seem to come in monthly installments, is a step too far for me. how he can have the audacity to question prices and ticket offers, when in reality he is going the length of the country to watch Rochdale away from home is a joke, does he not think we would all like to see every Rochdale game, unfortunatley it just isn't viable for everyone, so if you find home games pricey tazzy, maybe you should choose the games you go to, like everyone else. The fact he uses his leg as an excuse not to work is just laughable, when his leg is fine to stand up to a 5 hour plus coach journey to charlton or wycombe, had the coaches gone ahead, but yet, not up to say sitting in an office, etc.

End of season special ticket offers were are they??? on 13:56 - Mar 30 by DaleAwaydayBot | only as little as £90 a week paid in fortnightly its not that much as people think it is and i also have to spend on stuff like food which isnt cheap i'm sure asda gets more and more expensive each time i've shopped i just wish people would stop targetting me i am not the only dale fan on benefits |
My husband is registered disabled and has lots of health probs but doesn't get that much a week. He also works 20 hours a week and sometimes is in so much pain he can hardly move but still goes into work . I on the other hand have been unemployed and searching for work for the last 2 years and i recieved benefits for 6 months and was told i could recieve any more. I have just started a new job but we have struggled financially . Yes we do have a season ticket which he pays £259 for and also pays for a parking pass which cost another £150 to park in the carpark because he is in a wheelchair. How do we pay for our season ticket and parking pass you may ask. He doesn't have a chrismas pressent or birthday present off his mum but what she does is she pays for his season ticket and parking pass instead and that's how he has a season ticket. Also due to lack of resouces we have not been able to attend hardly any away matches ( only went to Bury and Sheffield Wednesday) this season cos that's all we could afford . Sometimes you have to decide where your priorities lie and make sacrifices [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

End of season special ticket offers were are they??? on 19:04 - Mar 30 by sweetcorn | Maybe harsh, but which part of my post isn't true? And D_alien, I know thats the case, it just made my post sound a bit better, so don't take it literally. My main gripe is that this country looks after the wrong people with benefits. Tazzy being one of those 'wrong people'. |
Tazzy doesnt help himself, but you have to ask yourself the question "Why". Then you form a judgement on the lad. Now i dont know him personally, but from the brief times i have come across him its obvious life isnt easy for him. I cant be any more diplomatic than that, its difficult for people leaving universities to get a job, so no disrespect to Tazzy he will struggle. If Tazzy could think out of the box he would realise that overnight away trips are a luxury reserved for the hard working man and very few of those can justify that expense. To then start bleating about prices of season tickets etc, whilst recieving benefits is bound to infuriate the large majority of posters. Now i am not a defender of Tazzy, i am not particularly interested in the guy, but with some people you have to cut them some slack and see them for what they are. Tazzy seems to bumble through life and at times he needs help !! Sorry if this post offends anybody. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

On the plus side, Tazzy does get to more away games than roccydaleian.

Fair do's. And I wasn't having a go (I know you weren't suggesting that I was) - I'd have posted the same to anyone! We all post things "for effect" - but it did make me wonder, are you a Rochdale lad? Not that it matters, just curious. On the subject of taz - I certainly know who he is, though he doesn't know me. I have to say (and I do so in all honesty) that I think he'd struggle to make a favourable impression at a job interview. So - trying to be positive - I'm sure whilst he's recovering from his injured leg he could be taking up some of the free courses on offer from the DWP on job interview presentation and general presentation skills. No subject (n/t) on 21:24 - Mar 30 with 919 views | BigDaveMyCock | I’ve got no legs and no arms. Please no ‘have you got the time on your cock’ jokes thankyou. I lost them in Vietnam. Not in the war, but on a stag do. I stood on a land mine. The land mine had been de-fused some 20 years ago and lovingly kept by an elderly villager. It was so well polished it caused me to slip and fall 400 feet into a beautiful deep blue lagoon. A lagoon infested with deadly crocodiles. The deadly crocodiles had just been fed so they left me alone, but the anacondas got me. The anacondas got me to the surface and to safety. The Vietnamese anacondas are apparently the friendliest constrictors in the world and delivered me back on to terra firma, with a casserole as well. I was due to go home that day. However, when I got to the airport I accidently got run over by an aeroplane and lost my arms and legs. I don’t blame anyone apart from all foreigners, gays and the Reynold Girls — I was listening to the seminal hit ‘I’d rather jack than Fleetwood Mac’ on my Alba Walkman, which strangely had no rewind button, causing me not to hear the jumbo jet suddenly appear from nowhere and cut me down in my prime. If you’re a daft woman who slips on some plastic strapping you can make a claim, but if you’re an innocent hard working bloke who inadvertently, and innocently, gets set upon by Boeing 747 you’re left out to dry. Anyway, I role to the job centre everyday and put myself forward for all sorts of jobs despite the fact that my ideal job would be in charge of that particle-space-time-machine thing at Cern in Switzerland or assistant to that Professor science bloke who used to be in Erasure. However, I can't work because of my condition and more importantly it plays havoc with my smack habit. There is a lesson for us all here. If you're on benefits get a job and if you've got a job you hate then get on benefits. Problem sorted. Not bad for a bloke who has got no arms and legs. Huge cock though.

For goodness sake it's Tazzy and we know what he is like! I think we should welcome him on this board as one who adds an interesting if not controversial dimension! Why are you all getting wound up by what he says? Just let him get on with it - he is harmless and not worth all these endless threads. Sorry Tazzy, I don't mean to belittle you, I actually have a sneaking respect for you (stands back and waits for abuse). Col he is accusing the club of whatever but no point in getting hot under the collar. Actually I like reading Tazzy's posts, and have a chuckle at most of them too. Oh.. and Big Cock Dave... you obviously have delusions, and I am sorry to say I always give up reading your posts after the first few words.

Oh, now come on dalenumber2 you must have to get to at least the third paragraph to realise I'm delusional. Probably around the anacodas. Look, I've never met your mate Tufti and I've never criticised him. For what it's worth I think he's good value and yes harmless. Just as people need to drop the benefits thing, I think you also need to drop the whole 'Claire Short' thing. All the best to you and the robot bloke.

End of season special ticket offers were are they??? on 14:18 - Mar 30 by dalenumber2 | If Tazzy chooses to budget some of his £90 per week on going to Dale away matches, and forgoes other 'luxuries' then good on him. If you are working but think you can't afford to go to away matches then it's because you choose to spend your money on other things, and have different priorities. Which is fair enough. It's all about the lifestyle choices we make. |
Get a grip - I'm a student and I work as well, I get around £90 a week for doing my job and I absolutely hate it. It crushes my spirit but I still turn in week after week to slog it out to be able to afford to live. Tazzy says he has to buy food which is expensive, it doesn't have to be. I live off frozen smart price garbage. I also have rent and bills to pay. When it comes down to it, I'm struggling to make ends meet the majority of the time and spend large amounts of time living off ASDA 14p noodles (which have shot up in price from 9p last year) and smart price beans and sausages on smart price toast. Whereas Tazzy goes out, gets smashed (not talking about the tram), goes to all the away games forking out hundreds on luxuries that I can only have guilty, wet dreams about.

Trust me, watching the Dale getting trounced at far off places isnt fun. Tazzy should get his benefits increased for that privelage . The imagination is a very strong tool, but getting off on watching the Dale getting hammered at far flung places like Brentford is just sick !!

Well I disagree to a point. You don't know what Tazzy actually gives up or does without just so he can watch his beloved Dale play away from home. We don't know enough about him, really, to make judgements. When I was a student I had to budget £5 a week to spend on food. Now try to get your head around that - and guess the year if you can

Brilliant. I am well and truly humbled. You're a tough nut to crack dalenumber2. Have you at any point realised the irony in the fact that you have posted continuously on this thread berating people for posting on this thread!? Your pal has started a silly, and harmless, thread and I've treated it accordingly. If there is anyone who has not treated it as a silly and harmless thread it is the people who have got too critical - yourself included there pal. Has it ever occured to you that you're doing the same as the people you criticise. I genuinely don't know your mate but he clearly has the capacity to put himself forward on this forum with some strong opinions and therefore must have to accept that he will attract criticism. You can't get too critical with the people who you accuse of being too critical. I can't make my mind up if you are genuinely compassionate, which is to be applauded, or you actually revel in these Tazzy threads. I suspect the latter.
