I noticed yesterday that he was on the pitch in his tracksuit before the game chatting with Sheehan and the players.
Then during the game he was stood behind Sheehan and they had quite a few chats.
Read into that whatever you like.

Don't need to read anything into it. Sheehan discusses Joey's presence in his post match interview.

Exactly. He said things along the lines of, I don't know everything and would be foolish not to use the knowledge and experience of Joe. People really should watch the interview it's a breath of fresh air.

And a totally polar opposite approach from his predecessor if what I'm hearing is true.

He is in the bracket of a ‘football man’ as they ? say.

A quiet presence in all his roles, was a great player, workmanlike and a team player too. That’s evident. Not sure he wants the job, it’s far too early to say.

Martin and Williams were always looking upwards for their own personal gain. Not Cooper, but Potter was the same.

Cooper left when the budget was cut. He declined to fulfill his contract without having another job. He might have argued his job was " impossible' but he had Piroe on his way which he could have pair with Lowe.

He was unhappy he had no central forward having decline to develop Gyorkeres. Gyorkeres was an 18 months project and Cooper was not thinking long term. Gyorkeres and Piroe think about that. If only he thought long term

"He had no support see butt. Bloody Yanks".

That's why a few of say give him a chance til seasons end and see if he does good enough and then, does he want the job.

It ticks a few boxes including the "dirt cheap" option!

Perhaps he's concerned about job security, if he becomes head coach/manager here and it goes pear shape he'd be out whereas if he stays in his previous role he maybe safe, could be or more than probably that he doesn't need the stress or the sleepless nights that will come as being No1.

Doesn't need the pressure, he really enjoys what he does and appreciates his quality of life. Good luck to him I say.

The new man if it is not him could force him out anyway. Williams accepted him as part of his team There is no certainty that Ramsey or Marsch would do the same.
