How many points will we need to stay up? on 21:57 - Feb 3 with 983 views | Tomsyard | The last ten years the average has been 44 points. The highest has been 51 points in 2017 and last season Brum on 50. So if you go higher at 55 points Plymouth need 30 points, Luton and Derby 28 and us on 21. It’s up to us really, wouldn’t it be great though if LW had a plan to get us there.

Does that take into consideration the clubs with points deductions.

I still think we will be fine with 50 points, 4 wins 4 draws from 16 games is surely manageable

How many points will we need to stay up? on 00:29 - Feb 4 with 665 views | ncswan | What were the 3 clubs and the # of points each had at this stage for each of the last 3 years? What were the 3 clubs to go down and the amount of points at the end of the last 3 seasons? I think getting 12-16 points over the last 16 games allows Swans to stay up. I better stick with 16; LW may see my 12 and just quit at that!

Really Rayns, really? To say im not confident would be a huge understatement. We’ll probably fluke a result or two along the way but we’ll need massive amounts of luck to get those points or a change in the manager with better suited tactics along with a ‘new manager bump’ we so badly need.

T We are in free fall. To address that,we need action. By action ,I mean positive action and change as what we have now isn’t working .And won’t . Williams is nit going to change anything and won’t improve players nor is he going to amend tactics,as he should . This is exactly what we had under Martin

It’s horrible being a fan ,isn’t it We love the club and have unrealistic dreams and hopes for it I’ve been at it since 1958. I was walking the dog late last night ,avoiding the fox shite, reflecting that I really should walk away from anything Swansea City as it’s simply too upsetting. Losing affect our home life ,not as bad as it used to ,but it’s still tough for me to simply ignore events over which I have no control . Basic philosophy . It should be as significant in our lives It shouldn’t determine when you can go on holiday or have family functions That’s the theory Right now, O watch Luke Williams and vomit forms in my mouth ,my glutes tense when I catch him spouting his insane, disingenuous crap . I actually thiugh the new ownership would be a renaissance but nothing as changed and it won’t until we are brave but do the obvious . It’s as if we are actually not bothered about stopping places with Wrexham, which we will. That is what really hurts

How many points will we need to stay up? on 10:18 - Feb 4 with 280 views | majorraglan | The lowest number of points required to avoid relegation was 38 in 21/22, but that season 2 teams received points deductions so if we ignore that it would have been 48 points. The highest number of points to avoid relegation was 53 in 16/17. The average number of points required is around 44.

I’m using a phone screen so it’s difficult to extract the data, but it’s all here. TBH it fluctuates and varies quite a lot. Points deductions also play a part. https://www.worldfootball.net/schedule/eng-championship-2020-2021-spieltag/46/

From what I can see from the last five years only one team has gone down with more points then us after 30 games, Hull on 39. Don’t know if Hull had points deducted but only got 6 more points and went down on 45, that’s a massive warning for us. [Post edited 4 Feb 21:18]
