Hi everyone,
Just popped into Maccy D's for a convenience burger and was shocked to find that their burgers are like 1mm wafers, and over all the burger and bun is around 25% smaller for the same money. in relation to the one i had last week!
Anyway, i thought a burger thread on here was needed, so i can canvas you all as to your thoughts regarding your best fast food, artisan, value burger around.
There used to be a great place in Liverpool that was an artisan place and called 'Almost famous' and had great beers, great drinks for the kids, and above all else fantastic burgers
Locations please and opinions on your favourite place

Personally I would rate Burger King burgers over McDonald’s burgers but they are expensive too. I think Dave is probably right - the five guys is the best out there but it is the most expensive.
I actually think I make the best burger.

There's a place in Leicester called Crafty Burger which does excellent burgers, thick patties, all local meat. Another pub called Wygston House do great burgers as well. If any of you are ever back here again... |  | | |

I am not often seen in MacDo but, on a recent journey, it was almost the only option (Taunton Deane services). I cannot remember exactly the name of the burger but I think it was a 'Double Big Mac' (??) Not expensive. Tasted reasonably OK. But, I could not work out how to eat it without half of the contents falling out of the burger and running down my chin and clothes.

Can't believe I worked round the corner from there for years, and never went there.
Used to be a great Italian place on Station Rd called Positano but think it has gone now  Reckon I kept it going single handed! |  |

Yeah Five Guys - but if you get the little burger (one patty rather than two) I don't think it's that expensive for what you get.

Five Guys makes money off the soft drinks. For what they charge, you could bring in 2 x 2-litre bottles (4 litres) and still be way cheaper.
Who is drinking 4 litres in one go? Not many. Soft drinks are where they rip you off. Nandos is super expensive now as well. Pizza Express has closed down a few sites, as no one can afford it.
Poundland, Iceland, Lidl and Aldi must be making a roaring trade.
And all these companies are saying they need to raise prices again due to national insurance hikes like they need more excuses to make obscene profits.
