India v England Test Series 09:06 - Jan 25 with 20876 views | Rangersw12 | Well as expected the pitch is turning square on day 1 but very entertaining cricket Actually think we have done pretty well problem we have is our spin attack is so inexperienced that we probably need 300 plus so likely we will be under par

He's not bad, is he? Hell of a player who makes a habit of doing it when it's most needed.

India v England Test Series on 12:01 - Feb 23 with 2063 views | RBlock | Nice to see Root play his own game and stay in, exactly what the situation called for. He needed a score after a few poor showings - really disciplined on a dodgy wicket.
India v England Test Series on 14:26 - Mar 7 with 1786 views | stowmarketrange | Just back to the hotel after the first days play at the 5th test.It looks like our team are already on the plane home.I know it’s been a regular occurrence in this series, but of the dismissals today were farcical. The rot started with Pope’s brainstorm 4 balls from lunch, and the rest just caved in after that. At least the scenery makes up for a poor display by England today, and it looks like I might have an extra 2 days of sightseeing to look forward too. Guinness shirt on tomorrow and I’m in with the barmy army section.

India has always been a tough place to go to - and the ridiculous schedules these days make it even tougher to prepare for a Test series there. Quite a gap between the 4th and 5th Tests (why?) so not entirely surprised if the players are thinking of the flight home.

I couldn’t believe that he came on and took a wicket with his first ball.Shame it’s all gone downhill so fast. I met 4 other qpr fans at the ground today, there was Darren from X block who lives in Chesham,Graham from Stratford upon Avon who sits in the upper loft, someone called Deano and another guy in a qpr shirt but I never got his name. We’re here,we’re there,we’re every f@cking where.

That's brilliant. What's it like watching tests in India? Amazing, I imagine. Would love to watch test cricket abroad. Stokes - Bothamesque. God we will miss him when he retires. Thought Bashir was really encouraging. Him and Rehan Ahmed for me are the future rather than Leach. They can both offer something on flat tracks. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

India is chaotic and the cricket ground is also the same.If you’ve been to Rome you know how bad their driving is.Indian drivers are a hundred times worse. Its just bedlam and they all must have 3 hands because there’s one on the gear lever, one on the horn and the other has their phones constantly in their ears. The cricket is well policed getting into the ground and then it’s basically a free for all.On day 1 you’re not allowed bottles, cameras, phone chargers and any bags, but by day 2 all things are allowed unless you happen to catch a jobsworth. Once at your seat, you’re constantly bombarded by vendors of food, hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks of every description.Followed by ice cream sellers with melting cornettos. The food was good though and reasonably priced. The Indian fans are loud when they’ve got something to celebrate, which they have for the last two days. They had their drummers in our stand and it made for a brilliant atmosphere, with every Indian young and old dancing away to the beat.It certainly beats the oval and lords for atmosphere and what breathtaking scenery to look at once the cricket gets dull. I wasn’t keen on Delhi, but I only stayed in a hotel by the airport for 1 night,so it’s a little hard to judge.I was also supposed to be going to Amritsar for 1 day too,but that’s not going to happen now. Unfortunately I won’t be there tomorrow to witness the final nail in the coffin as I found out at 8pm tonight that my mother-in-law passed away last night and I’ve booked emergency flights back home.

Shame the team has let you down Stow but what a beautiful setting-only marginally better then the Oval! Take care and let’s hope England gives you something to enjoy in the second innings although it’s highly unlikely. As I said before, a great effort. 🏏 👏
India v England Test Series on 07:18 - Mar 9 with 1106 views | GaryBannister86 | I see the old school media is already piling in about what a disaster Bazball is. They are loving it, nothing people like Agnew and Boycott want more than England to lose. Perfect for them too if Root finishes on 60 not out "playing properly". Script written for them. Personally, I've enjoyed our competitiveness and I think McCullum and Stokes's positivity and lack of pressure he puts on them has led to great improvement in this side. It makes them fun to watch and that will do me. More power to their elbow. Will be interesting to see where we go from here. I suspect its the end of Bairstow, Foakes (he did keep beautifully, to be fair, but doesn't add enough with his batting for me) and Robinson (not sure they will forgive his attitude in that test) and now Stokes can bowl again, frees it up. Also, with Jimmy 100 years old and Woody no spring chicken and Broad gone - really need to get the pace attack coming through or next Ashes going to be hopeless. Atkinson? Pretty "quiet" home test summer so I hope they give free reign to Bashir and Ahmed and play them in every Test. My side for next test: Crawley Duckett Pope Root Brook Stokes Robinson (the other one - wk) Ahmed Wood / Anderson Atkinson Bashir

The answer as always is somewhere in between Are England entertaining? Absolutely and they are good value for cricket and making series a lot more exciting and at times doing it brilliantly Are they reckless? Unfortunately also yes and sometimes not reading the game situation First innings in this final test we were on for a good score with Crawley at crease but we just lost wicket after wicket without really taking a bit of time to say hold on - someone here needs to go big Duckett this morning when we are 200 runs behind charges down the pitch and is bowled.. hmmm So in summary I don’t want England to change but I also think they need to be slightly more controlled at times in test cricket as it’s over 5 days and they have lost tests in one session recently I would drop Pope and possibly Stokes to be honest Need a new seamer as well

India v England Test Series on 08:07 - Mar 9 with 1028 views | Malintabuk | I haven't watched this test to be honest so can't really comment on it. But agree with Legend that we have to find a balance between aggressive and reckless. Not sure how you can class Boycott as nothing really GB, he was a product of his time and was a fantastic opener for us with Edrich, and he did it without protection and in the days of that West Indies barrage, so I think he does have something to offer. I'm pretty much torn here as I enjoy watching us go for ut, and it is great when it comes off, but it looks pretty dreadful when it doesn't. If you are winning and dominating by playing Baz ball then it's vindicated, and fantastic. But we aren't. I won't judge it here harshly as in India it is virtually impossible to win a match there, let alone a series. Can't see us going forward with 2 spinners in the team this summer unless we have droughts again and prepare pitches to suit But I think we will struggle with our pace attack. I agree with you, but drop Stokes? That is possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Our most influential cricketer since Botham and a brilliant captain.
India v England Test Series on 08:11 - Mar 9 with 1005 views | GaryBannister86 | I meant nothing as "nothing people like Boycott and Agnew like more" - not as in they are nothing people! Boycott was my second favourite cricketer after Botham. Modelled myself on him as a youngster. Just think his opinions are 50 years out of date!
India v England Test Series on 09:38 - Mar 9 with 926 views | Rangersw12 | Pretty disappointing end to the tour but I think we've found some decent spinners and we should be looking to freshen up the middle order in the summer I think we probably should have gone down 3-2 as we should have won the 4th test but India are formidable at home and deserved the series win .
