I definitely recall him being sent off, must have been pre liberty days.

Colin Calderwood on 15:06 - May 19 with 6383 views | ReslovenSwan1 | His last visit to Swansea was with Cambridge in the Caraboa Cup. A 6-0 mauling and a Wayne Routledge master class. Good performances by two under rated Swansea player Surridge and Garrick. The club cannot continue to let big athletes go and then complain about not being big enough or athletic enough. Jack Evans came on i recall for his one game. His brother Cameron also got one game as well v Stevenage and has now been released. i wish them well. [Post edited 19 May 2022 15:07]

Impeccable sources but yet they didn't have a dicky bird on this appointment. Talk of Martin renting Morgan House and Martin on his way out because the players are against him 🤦â€â™‚ï¸ðŸ¤£ Do you know what, why not....if its good for the goose and all that!

It was left field for sure. I suppose the other thing is the amount of people who actually care.

Against Northampton at the vetch. The linsman in front of the center stand was getting so much abuse from the stand that he was signalling everything for us. Calderwood started to get really wound up and was giving abuse to the supporters and was getting it back. He was so wound up the ref sent him off, to the stands and he then had to sit quietly amongst us. You really couldn't make it up.
Colin Calderwood on 10:41 - May 21 with 5799 views | STID2017 | Just been reading more about Calderwood. Led Forest to a promotion and this season had over 20 clean sheets at Northampton as assistant there. Think it is the "experienced guiding hand" I and many others felt Martin would benefit from. Could be an exciting season if we get the right squad together

Defensive coaching we definitely need. Surprised Martin has forgotten all he knew , being a former central defender

It is very surprising how poor our defense was under Martin last season. I guess his mandate was to concentrate on attack ... with varying success

his defence at MKDons leaked goals too in the 2020/21 season under ex defender Martin they conceded only 2 less goals than they scored all season....many as a result of playing the "Martin" way..which we have seen yourselves this season.....nowt to do with mandates
| |
Colin Calderwood on 11:10 - May 26 with 5257 views | Swans9 | Massive concern that we conceded 3 and over in a third of our games. All talk is Martin won't change his methods but if the squad isn't strengthened it could be tin hat time at the back again next season. Let's hope Forest Bristol c Blackburn away and the amount of chances they had on goal will reduce in away games next season. Possession based football looks good at times though.
Colin Calderwood on 12:26 - May 26 with 5193 views | ReslovenSwan1 | There is nothing in Martin's CV as a manager that shows he can tighten up when out of possession. A back three with two highly rated defensive midfielders and still ripped to shreads by Forest twice. He will either adapt or get sacked.

Colin Calderwood on 11:44 - May 29 with 4949 views | magicdaps10 | Interesting that he was charged with the defence at Northampton who conceded the fewest goals across the entire football league. Quite firmly believe he will be given the main job of sorting the defence out and working on set pieces at both ends of the pitch.
| |
Colin Calderwood on 08:04 - May 30 with 4799 views | vetchonian | So if we are successful next season will it be down to Martin or Calderwood? Its interesting we have to bring in someone to sort our defence given our manager is an ex defender himself. Will this mean less faffing about around the back ? If yes then it shouws Martin's philosphy is useless and we would have wasted a season. Maybe Calderwood is Martins replacement

All managers will bring a coaching team, each will have a job and an area that they are designated too. The manager will always take the plaudits and criticism, it's why they get paid more. A lot will depend on Martin, Calderwood and even the players they bring in.

But how often does that coaching team get changed during a managers regin at a club? My point is should we see success next season....the Martin lovers will be all over this board but if these rumours re Calderwood are true and he comes who should get the plaudits? It amazes me that as an ex defender himself Martin cannnot seem to get his teams to defend
