I remember going to Eastville about 1970/71 with my Dad, and his mate, and a couple of my friends.
We got there ages before kick off and there was a couple of speedway riders ripping around the track, about an hour or more before the game.
Roy Bentley was Manager, and he came out to look at the pitch, as there had been heavy rain. Just as he crossed the track the speedway boys passed him and absolutely drenched him with water, mud, and grit. He got about 10 yards onto the pitch, turned around and went back in.
I remember the gas fans singing a song about it but haven't a clue what it was.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Cheltenham away there were 4 Swans fans dressed as
Colonel Gaddaffi ,Bin Laden,Sadam Hussain and George Bush.

The doorman let the first 3 in then stopped Bush and said no terrorists.

John Toshack mistaking me for Robbie James!
I'd travelled early from work in Dudley and arrived quite early in the car park of Gay Meadow, Shrewsbury. I was getting out of the car to put my sports bag in the boot.
From a door in the stadium about 50 yards away …
'Hey, Robbie, Robbie where the hell have you been.' I was the same build and had a haircut and tash similar (not fan boy). I turned around to see John Toshack wqlking towards me …
' You’re not Robbie James"
'I know.'
''Where the hall is he?'
'Dunno.'
'Yes, er sorry. Enjoy the game"
Then Robbie drove up and Mr Toshack lost interest in me.
Dire 0 - 0

Me and my mate had been given 2 Arsenal season ticket holder’s seats for the 2012 “Michu match” the Arsenal v Swans game.
We sat in the Emirates, great seats halfway up the stand in line with the penalty area.
We chatted with the locals around us, no problem all friendly banter.
They weren’t particularly vocal, probably what you’d call the prawn sandwich brigade.
Then with 2 minutes to go, Michu scores !!!
Both of us explode into the air, arms aloft, hugging each other, not believing the Swans were about to beat the mighty Arsenal in their own patch!
Unfortunately for us, we’d totally forgot we were the only 2 people standing up cheering in the whole stand ! 😳

The natives were restless.

With that 2 burley stewards raced towards us to say the immortal words…..”Your not Arsenal fans, what you doing here??”

Somewhat flustered my mate said…”But we’ve got season tickets, look? “
To cut a long story short, they threw us out of the ground! and we buggered off quickly before the rest of the crowd lynched us.

We more or less run to the tube line, got on the train to relative safety we thought.
Only to choose a train full of Arsenal fans, but in all fairness they spotted we were Swans fans and started talking to us about how well we played, and Michu’s 2 cracking goals.
We both said together…….”Two goals?” not realising that we hadn’t seen the second because we’d been thrown out of the ground !!
Happy days.

Being thrown out of a ground these days is an occupational hazard at times. 😂

I remember away games in late 1980's going into the home end because sometimes it was cheaper than away ends and then seeing the nearest cooper saying we went in the wrong end then getting escorted the the away end.

Around about 1994- 1995 Huddersfield v Swansea I went to this game with a few mates by car and we stayed over the night in Leeds. I pulled a student from Glasgow who was in Leeds University and ended up going back to her digs and then I ended up staying in Leeds with her for 3 days!

The boys couldn't find me in the morning (no mobile phones then kids) and as all good mates do fecked off back home to Swansea but I didn't care I had nothing to go back for (in between jobs lol) I like going off grid and still do, I had a ball up in there in the pubs, student bars and buzzing around Leeds with her for a few days she even took me to the old Emmerdale farm village (it was an actual village then but now I think Emmerdale is a proper set somewhere) I had a pint in the Woolpack and then not far away we also went to the town where they filmed last of the summer wine. After a few days I really was skint and fair play to her she paid for a lot of stuff in Leeds so I left to come home and promised to keep in touch which I didn't (again no FB or mobile phones ) I bunked a train from Leeds to London then in London walked to London Paddington then got a train from there but got thrown off at Reading then got a National Express bus to Swansea when the driver took pity on me as he was from Llanelli.....End of story??

No I bumped into her in San Antonio in Ibiza in 1999 !! couldn't believe it she called my name as we were walking past a bar she was there with her mates and I was with my mate we rekindled our "relationship" out there for the last few days of the holidays and I promised to keep in tough again which I didn't I'm not on FB but I did find her on my mates FB a few years ago she's married to some handsome bloke and has got 2 little kids and lives in Cambridge so no 3rd time lucky

I did that at Bury in 2005. Mate who was doing all 92 league grounds, got us tickets but for the Bury end…..so I asked a steward, “sorry mate we are in the wrong end” he looked confused and escorted us out of the ground….we thought we were being kicked out. But fair play he took us to our end - what an atmosphere!

Bristol Rovers away we drew 2.2 headed off to the pub a couple of mins early a van full of Swans fans drove past giving us stick after we had equalised.Torpey scored for us I think and we had 2 sent off.

Then there was the Bradford game down the vetch when the Bradford fans stuck carrots in the meshing for Torpey..
