Hard work is obviously paying off. Short term pain getting rid of certain others who were ruining the whole feel of the website has clearly worked. The whole place feels more friendly, informative and for many I'm sure it's the first stop for swans news.

I don't ban posters, and judging from the reaction to congratulating how well this site is doing I would have thought that wouldn't be the best of ideas. Too many people seem to want to instigate a war, now I love a good scrap but not at the detriment of what's being done here. I at least realise that posting nastyness on here doesn't work, and fel it was time to say so. | |

Other sites that I don't use mean nothing to me but this site has new members, is busy most days and there is very little animosity with no mindless abuse allowed. Any blatant hate speech is clamped down on. What's not to like? Heck, even the posters I think are posting lunacy and wummery are good entertainment so I join in with it myself from time to time.

I’m unsure why a post praising the work that’s been done here is an issue, especially as we come up to one year of Swansea Independent. I was going to arrange a big party as well, balloons, beers ( squash for NL) sausage rolls ( Veggie burgers for Russell ) Special access for Phil on PS plus one, a complete amnesty on all banned posters, free hugs for the left, boot polish for the right and a free smack in the gob raffle, all proceeds to a good cause.

Whatcha gonna do? Well I'm gonna ask for some squash too and an exemption from the raffle, my face can't afford any more damage, ugly enough already. I don't do sausage rolls either, I'm a Cornish pasty kind of a bloke.
